Mission: End of the Heroic Age: Fallout subtitle: Fumblies Command 2 By Sir Fumblies Original Roleplay
Following up a co write with Becky, Fumblies is in a solo roleplay here.
And while it lacks the off-beat humor of the "insane" Becky Joy, it manages to give us some good characterization, and pushes a story forward as well, detailing the Sir's formation of his soon to be trademark Knob Goblin platoon.

Sir Fumblies Falanges now of Feline Empire had chosen a team of eight Knob Goblin Elite wannabes. The team was supposedly the best of the available pool of talent and Fumblies was planning to see just how well the worked together. The leader of his platoon was a grizzled Knob, who was reportedly the veteran of more than dozen skirmishes, by the name of the Scaros. Fumblies liked Scaros since none of the other Knobs dared to question the veteran. Yet while setting up his platoon had been important that was not the entirety of his mission. In fact all the platoon meant was that Sir Fumblies was ready to head down to Seaside Town to help battle the threat of newly emerging undead. Honestly not one of his choice assignments but in the end so long as it lead to more incentives from the leader of the Feline Empire than he would do his best. Now only one thing had to be done before Fumblies was ready to leave, and that was to get his unit their own insignia in order to create a more united front. So he was headed towards the head seamstress in order to get his unit a banner. Once there he waits to be noticed so he could place his order. After a moment he finally gets noticed and commissions a navy blue banner with the symbol of the Feline Empire in gold on a red out stretched palm up open hand. All this would be charged to the Feline Empire. That done Fumbles goes to get in a bit of last minute training in order to ensure that his team was ready for their journey to Seaside Town. Scaros being a long time veteran had already ordered the needed provisions. The training was completed by the time the unit's war banner was done as was the provisioning.
Sir Fumblies and his platoon under the command of Scaros was now underway with their brand new war banner. As the platoon heads towards Seaside Town Fumblies made sure to spread the invitation to join the Feline Empire to any non affiliated towns that they passed. As until recently the Knobs had been at war with KOKOL and Seaside Town there were only a handful or so of villages that were passed in the platoon's trip. Along the way quite a few of the people chose to visit the Knob Palace with the intent of signing up with the Feline Empire while others went to the hills to avoid the inevitable. For the most part the platoon had little excitement as they traveled. Fumblies maintained military discipline that if anyone where to ask where he got he truthfully would haven't been able to answer. The platoon, under the watchful eye of Scaros and a few well timed threats of being given to the Felines, was well behaved and ready for a fight. Though as Fumblies reflected the Knobs were probably just eager to fight which probably helped in their being so compliant. Yet in the end it didn't matter to Fumblies as he hadn't needed to show his displeasure with any of them. As the group gets a bit closer to Seaside Town an air of excitement seems to descend over them. A few miles away from Seaside Town Fumblies and his platoon come upon a ghastly scene. A short distance from them was concentration of undead. As Fumblies surveyed the undead he noticed that quite a few of them were slain Knob Goblins that had been killed in the battle days before. Yet a short way from the undead Knobs another group in tattered KOKOL tabards. As the platoon watches both groups split apart and start to shuffle towards each other as if they were going to continue the war that had slain them. Fumblies watches to see what happens with this reanimated battle scene. After a few minutes the battle grinds to a halt as something starts to rise from the center undead battle field...
The naming trend of Fumbile's stories continues, and he incorporated the little zombie war reenactment I suggested. Always cool to see my own ideas used.
Fumblies goes on to make a strong impression in this mission. So to the Bearsmashers, whom we'll be getting back to next. And before too much longer, Sebastian Dash and Shamus XTreme will finally make their way into the mission!

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOL doesn't own KOL. Get it? Good! ! |
