Mission: End of the Heroic Age: Fallout subtitle: An Introduction (Pre-Activity) By Max Thordicus Original Roleplay
This was originally posted months ago. Max wasn't able to roleplay properly for the Finale, but since it is the season finale, and he was used as a secondary by Konall a few times, I cheated a bit (after talking to Max's handler) and moved this to be a roleplay for the Season Finale mission.
It was originally posted months ago. I finally figured how to use the bump date so it wouldn't show up before the Rollover, which looked wrong to me.
Anyway, it's still a nice, if somewhat brief, look into Max's background, and it explains why he headed for Seaside Town.. even if the method of which he arrived to the Kingdom of Loathing was somewhat.. unexpected.

Edit: Flashback/ origin piece. Moved with permission on behalf of Maximus; retitled as well. Also- bumped up on the 8th. I knew it was time to leave Elvender but I didn't know how to go about doing it. This village is the only home that I can really remember. To know that no matter how hard I try I will never really be at home in this elven village. My friends are nice and all, but I know that they always look upon me with wonder due to the other half of my heritage. You see, It's not too common in our town for there to be a half-human half-elf. Some I think look upon me like an outsider, even though my father has lived here all of his life. The only time he had ever left is when he went to the human village of Elvandale and for some reason he decided he would make a family with one of them. And I, unfortunately was the result. I don't know why it means so much to some of the children that are my age. I mean sure I have gone through the ritual that proved I am now a man by my peoples standards. But how can someone really be a man without knowing the love of his mother while growing up. I mean if she had died it would be different. But all pa will tell me is that she had left, and it was time to return home to Elvander. Sometimes I feel that if I close my eyes and think hard enough that I can remember just one small part of my mother. Her smell, a look... hell even the color of her hair would be a blessing. But no, even though I was a toddler I can remember nothing of her. So now, looking back on my village with my horse and best friend Buttercup by my side I start to make my way down into the forest. I know not where I am to go, just that I have some type of boon upon me. One in which I had never asked for. My people would call me an "Animal Summoner" if they even knew of the old lore. Pa and I only learned about it a few years ago when Elder Lee told us of the story. Somehow this "Animal Summoner" has been long awaited by my people.... perhaps I should call them my father's people since they have such a hard time accepting me. But damn'it I grew up there! They know me and they should know I would do the same as they if the village needed it. But after all this time they refuse to allow me to go out on patrol or work the fields. They won't even let me help tend to the horses, even though I by far have the best hand with them! Bah! It's time to forget some of this. Buttercup has told me of some town over by the sea. I don't know if I believe her, but she said she heard from an old nag who heard from a mare who heard from a stallion that said that his sistre's brother's cousins in-law knew that there was something there that "Animal Friend", for that is what all the animals have name me, must do before his mission can begin. So now here I go to some town that I have never heard of and only have a name for... Seaside Town.
Short and sweet.. That's our 22nd and last roleplay for the mission. Let's get into the Finale, shall we?

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOL doesn't own KOL. Get it? Good! ! |
