Mission: End of the Heroic Age: Fallout subtitle: Awakensun (Gail), Becky and Becky's buds By Gail and Becky Original Co write
Soo, so random!
Even more than the first bit with Becky and Gail, aka Awakensun. Sadly, Awakensun's currently missing from AIL, as if the first official Season 2 mission. Fortunately, we'll see more of Becky. Plus both Becky and Gail are in the Mission Finale, of course!

Gail (aka Awakensun) woke up the next morning to the sound of shouting. She realized she had slept in a very uncomfortable position. Her legs ached, her back hurt and her neck felt like someone twisted her head around a few times. She stood to her feet and realized everything else hurts very badly. Gail looked around to see where the sound was coming from. Then she realized Becky was calling her name! "Becky! Becky! I'm over here!" Gail shouted. Becky walked up and said, "Don't be afraid, cause me and my new friends are gonna help you out!" "So, Becky, are all your new friends evil? Why do you want to get rid of all the zombies?" Gail said with sarcasm. "We're not evil!" Becky said, frowning. "Don't listen to her, guys. This is my first Knob Buddy, Darson! I made him work for me when Seaside Town was burning down!" "Hello, m'fine Lady." This one looked older than the others. "Hmmm. Maybe you guys aren't so bad. I've been called a lot of things in my life, and Lady isn't one of them. How are you guys going to help with the zombie problem?" "I think we just gotta kill them zombies!" Becky came up and hugged Gail. "We're gonna save all the lil girls and boys and the Knob Goblins gotta listen to me!" Gail hugged Becky with a big bear hug. "I missed you soooooo much! I am very glad that you are here with me! I want to find a way to reverse the spell. Any ideas?" All the Knob Goblins had to pull Becky free of the hug. Becky said, "ew Stinky! Okay.. I got four Knob Goblins, do you got anyone to help?" "Ummm, ummmm, ummmm, I got my wind hawk! How long have you been gone?" Gail said as she rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Just all night," Becky said. "I went to Knob Goblin and I met friends and I had like fifty Knob Goblins who wanted cake but most of them left, and four of them stayed. We're gonna be evil heroes who save people yay!" "Wow! I slept for a long time!" Gail said as she looked around. "No zombie even came close to me!" Gail looked around and saw no sign of the little girl. "Where is that kid we tried to help yesterday?" "I don't know, she ran off when we were posing, I think! Wanna see something cool and funny?!" Becky turned towards her Knob Goblin army. "Hi!" "Hello, Miss Joy!" They all said in union. "Isn't it cool? I didn't even have to teach 'em that!" Becky danced around because hey, why not? Gail took a good look at all the Goblins. Sure, they were ugly, and had huge hulking weapons that could probably chop off someone's head of they so desired, but Gail saw a softness in them. To her, they all looked like big mama's boys. Except for the girl who looked like a papa's girl. "So, boys, what are all your names? And why did you decide to come out here and help fight zombies with us?" Gail asked, with a stern look on her face. They all looked down. "We can only answer that question with permission from our superior officer!" the older Goblin said. Becky's face lit up! "Goblins got names?! I wanna know! Tell me!" She pleaded to Gail. "We don't know their names, and I will find out!" She said as she looked from Becky to the goblins. "And are there any commanding officers here? Why can't you give out your names? What are we supposed to call you? It can be an very bad thing if we yell 'duck' and one of you gets wacked in the head with something and it can all be avoided by knowing your name! We can yell, Becky, duck! Look out behind you!" Becky ducked, watching out behind her and the Knob Goblins look on confused. The only girl Knob Goblin stepped up and went, "Ahh.. I don't want to be Duck! Can one of the guys be Duck, please?" "So, which one of you wants to be Duck? Someone else can be Cover, the other one should be Run and the other one should be Hide. " Gail asked Becky holds her hand up! "You be Duck!" "No silly, you already have a name. You're Becky Joy, remember? I am Gail, and we are trying to get around the name barrier we are having with the goblins." Gail said as she looked at the goblins. "We have names!" One of the other two Goblins said. "Names and numbers!" "But, someone earlier said you don't have names.." Gail looked very confused. "They did?!" Becky asked, looking around confused. "The old one, he's Darwin." "Darson," the older Knob Goblin corrected. "The girl is Goblina," Becky said, doing a backflip and landing on her butt. "It's a very popular name among Goblin girls," she explained. "Hi Darson, and Goblina!" Gail runs over to them and gave them both big smelly hug! "And what would your names be?" Gail asked, with curiosity in her question. "I just said I don't think they have names!" Becky said. But the Goblins answered anyway. "I'm Red, and he's Green," the one with the red spear said. They were otherwise identical, except for Green being tall and Lanky, rather than short and stout. Neither had a handle. "Hi Red! Hi Green!" Gail said as she ran over to them and gave them a huge hug. After giving both a hug, she smiled a hug smile. "She smells like Mom's cooking, Red!" Green said laughing. Green had a green spear. "Don't remind me," Red answered. "Then your mom's cooking smelled really good then?" Gail said, smiling a wide grin with her eyes lit up. Red and Green looked to each other, but it was Darwin I mean Darson who saved the day. "Shouldn't we be fighting zombies, ma'ams?" "Hmmm," Becky thought about it. "That is a great idea! We need to find that kid me and Becky helped yesterday. I feel really bad for the zombies. They should be able to rest in peace rather than having to do some evil guys bidding! We need to find a way to put an end to his madness!" Gail said, obviously angry and passionate about what she just said. "Yeah," Becky answered. "I guess but we can still kill 'em right?!" "Since they are the bad guys here, I guess so." Gail said, but not confidently. "Hurray!" Becky said. "But I don't think that girl is here, I think she probably went to the Knob Goblin queen Catrina so she'd be safe." Becky nodded; it made sense in her mind. "If you think that little girl is safe, that is good enough for me. So, are we just going to stand here, or are we going to go hunt some zombies?" Becky nodded. "Yeah! Zombie hunt for everyone!" "Lets go!" Gail said as she started to walk north. "Where ya goin?!" Becky raced to catch up with her. "Going to go hunt zombies! Are you coming?" Gail asked, excited. The four Knob Goblins followed. "Hey, do you think there's a lot of zombies?" asked Becky. "Probably thousands," Goblina said. "Especially in the mall! And you'll have reporters dressing up in skirts and bras to fight them with baseball bats!" "No that's stupid!" Green said. "Like us fighting some giant, oversized turtle with mushrooms," answered Red. "What's a mall? Never heard of such a thing. We should go there if there are a lot of zombies there, whatever the case whatever this 'mall' thing is." Gail said, looked somewhat confused. "Let's go visit all our buddies in town!" Becky said, forgetting for the moment she'd turned evil. She pushed at the town gates, but they didn't open. She turned to Awakensun, made a surprised expression and 'oooh'ed.' "It stuck!" "Becky, focus. We need to kill some zombies. We might need to.. ..." Awakensun started to say as she was cut off by Becky. "Bake them a cake?"! Becky said, interrupting. "Give us a pay raise?" Green suggested. "Put on gothy makeup?" asked Goblina hopefully. "Order Red a delicious pizza pie?!" That's Red. Duh. "Double our payrate?" was Green's idea. "I can make brownies!" Gail said, excited. "We should kill zombies first," Darson suggested in an exasperated voice. "How comes?" Becky asked, confused. Even though she hadn't had any of Gail's brownies yet. "To stop the zombie apocalypse," Darson reminded them. "But I want to make my brownies!" Gail wined. "She wants to make her brownies!" Becky joined in. "Yeah.. okay, it's your choice, but we don't want to get you two in trouble with King Mtiger and Queen Catrina, do we?" reasoned Darson. "Hmm.. I don't wanna get in no trouble!" Green said, worried. "Becky, they all looked worried. We should go find some zombies. I guess brownie and cake making will have to wait." Gail said, very sadly. "Yeah, it's hard bein' evil heroes," Becky said sadly. Then she got happy. "We'll save all the kiddies that are in town! But I hope they got out already." "I hope all the little kiddies are safe, too. Now, how are we going to get through this gate? Any ideas?" "Hmm.. go on a silly subquest and find a key?!" Green suggested. "No, that's just stupid," reprimanded Red. "We could try digging a tunnel under the town and.." "For Pete's sake!" Darson said. "Can't we just go around to the other side of town and enter?!" "Hmmm," Becky looked thoughtful. "I'll ask you for permission, okay Gail?!" "Someone has to be strong enough to be able to smash the door down!" Becky was thinking to herself and said, "We gotta break it?! It's so cool lookin!" "It will still be cool looking after we break it. You can even have the cool looking lock after we break it," answered Gail. "So how are we gonna break it?!" Becky asked, hoping to help. "Why don't we just.." Red started to say, but Awakensun interrupted. "Get some kind go big animal to knock it down!" Gail shouted. "Oh! Can your hawk knock it down?!" Becky said, jumping and clapping. "..Beanie? No.. He isn't that strong. He can help find another strong animal though. We do have some forests around here, right?" Gail asked. "Way way way way way down south!" Becky said, waiving her arms. "We could just..." Green started to say, but he got interrupted by Becky. "Did you wanna go on a side quest, Gail?!" "Or we can go hunt down a key. There has to be a lot of keys around. Maybe it will open the door. Can't we go around the gate?" "Oh!" Becky said, excited. "Let's go ask Catrina if she has one?!" "Lets go then!" Gail said as she starts to walk away. Becky started to follow her, but the Knob Goblins didn't. Several seconds later, they heard a loud creak from the door, then turned around to see all four Knob Goblins pushing it open. "Wow, they ARE strong!" Gail said excitedly. "Nope!" Goblina explained. "Red and Green found a key, actually." "We tried to tell you!" Green said. "But you didn't listen!" concluded Red. Gail and Becky turned to each other, laughed for a minute or so, then walked into Seaside Town... "You didn't tell us you had a key!" Gail said. "We tried but you didn't listen!" Red and Green said together. Darson just rolled his eyes and handed Becky a note. "I got this while we were fighting," he said! Becky quickly read the letter and frowned. "Hey.. Gail. I gotta go!" "Awww," Gail whined. "I don't wanna be alone!" "Okies, but you gotta stay, so go to the nearest KOKOL center outside of town and they will make you a lot of friends!" Becky said. "But don't tell them about me, it's our secret!" "I'm gonna miss you!" Gail gave Becky a big stinky old hug that nearly caused Becky to pass out. They then turned to their business, sad to have to part ways, but happy they got to hang out for a while. Will Gail find more friends? I sure hope so!
The random, humorous nature, the contrast of stupidity and humor, and the tendency here to delve into random side bits reminds me a little bit of.. some other bits.
Anyway.. don't take that link til you're done reading this mission! Becky and Gail split up. Now we're gonna back up in time to a story that goes down near the beginning of the mission.. it'll introduce (briefly) a new character.

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOL doesn't own KOL. Get it? Good! ! |
