"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." Neale Donald Walsch
Jarlsboris Wildfall's heart sank as the twice displaced Ireacan returned home to find out...
Well, to find out he'd gotten exactly what he wanted.
Home had been sold, or would be as soon as he passed the key along to someone representing the new owners. His home in the Kingdom, that he'd shared with Summer until she and Xodus had both left the Kingdom. Wildfall, however, chose to stay behind, unable to embrace change. But now he had to.
Wildfall didn't bother to ask who that was. Didn't matter. The house probably went pretty cheap, all things considered. Wildfall had not the time, patience, or desire to hold out for more money. Place reminded him too much of Summer, and she was gone.
That chapter in my life ended a while ago. Time to accept it, I guess.
Still, it was rough. Wildfall had lost homes, been kicked out, and had moved on with his life in the past, but he'd never quite given up a home this way before. At least he had somewhere to go for a while, thanks to his performance in Seaside Town, helping settle the problem with the penguins and Vikings. Wildfall smiled to himself.
Alright, got my stuff.. what I can carry with, anyway. Let 'em keep the rest. Got my meat. They're settled in.. I need to get out of here. This's too much, I am gonna freak out.
Wildfall walked out of sight of the new owners' representative. It was hard not running. Near impossible at first. With pride satisfied, safely out of sight of anyone whose opinion Wildfall might care about, he increased his run to a jog, and then to a full sprint.
As he came to a slow, he ran into a new figure with some news Wildfall would find.. hmm.. interesting enough to take his mind off selling his home. For a while, anyway.
New opportunities awaited.

It was meant to set up something bigger for later in the mission. As you'll see, that's just what we end up getting... later on. Plus, well, I just felt AIL could use another impactful short piece. This one actually took "best solo piece" for the Search quest. Ichiro liked how it set up the rest of Wildfall's stories in this mission, calling it a great "little bite that makes everything else better." Yay!
We'll go through two Sassy Snake stories- with a lil Blackeagle sandwiched in- before we get to the pay off for this one - which just happens to also but a new player debut!
