Time to get a little more Blackeagle!

This time, they're joined by ninjas. Seems fitting.

 
As John and Sherri came across Ninja Village suddenly, they almost missed it. As they rode into the village, they noticed roads made of wood, a few wooden huts here and there.

Then John noticed it. "Does it appear to you that everyone is wearing a mask?"

"Maybe they knew you were coming," Sherri replied.

"Funny haha," John said.

Suddenly, an old man appeared in front of them.

"Welcome, we have been expecting you," the old man said.

"You have?" Sherri asked.

"Why yes, please follow me," the old man demanded.

They dismounted from the horses and started walking. When they turned around back towards the horses, there were only 2 men where the horses once stood. John scratched his head and they continued to follow the old man.

They arrived to a simple wooden hut about 20 feet in diameter. They noticed it was simply decorated. A few wooden stumps for chairs and an animal skin.

"Please sit."

They all took a seat on a stump-like chair. Just then, a young boy came in baring rice bowls. The bowls were simple wood-made with chop sticks.

"Hungry?" the old man asked.

"Yes; it was a long journey," John said.

The boy distributed the bowls and as quickly as he entered, he left.

"How did you know we were to come here?" John asked.

"Sir Fumbles told us about your fight with Bones and the skeleton thugs," the old man said.

"Great but what are we doing here?" Sherri asked.

"Because of that fight, you have been chosen for a special mission," the old man mentioned.

"We are used to special missions," John stated.

"Good but first you train. We see what you can do," the old man said.

The old man took them to center of the village. There was what appeared to be a fighting arena. About the size of a WWE ring. In the ring stood a sumo wrestler sized creature.

"You shall fight the gorlock," the old man said.

"What happens if we win?" Sherri asked.

"If you win you live to fight another day and the mission," the old man stated.

"Why do I get the feeling we're about to have our asses handed to us?" John asked.

They both entered the ring at a fighting stance. Soon as they did, the creature rushed them, knocking them both off their feet.

"I see he isn't going to play nice," Sherri said.

With that, she leaped into the air, giving a drop kick. The creature didn't move.

"Ok that only made him mad," John pointed out.

"I'll distract him while you go around to the other side," Sherri suggested.

John moved around behind the creature as Sherri was taunting him. As John was about to side kick, the creature grabbed Sherri, lifted her up and threw her 20 feet outside the ring. John sprung into action with a hard right side kick to the creature's stomach. The creature groaned. Sherri came back, flying up with a kick to the head. That was enough to stun the creature. John grabbed the creature behind the neck. The creature tossed him off, landing on his back. The creature turned to Sherri. Sherri quickly did a sweep of the legs, knocking the creature to the ground. John jumped up, punching the creature as hard as he could many times. Finally the creature lay still.

They both had to catch their breath from the hard fight. Meanwhile the old man looked in shock as the creature lay there. John caught his look.

"Don't worry, he's not dead," John said to comfort the old man.

"You two are more impressive then Fumbles described you to be," the old man said. "You are ready for the mission."

A little more Blackeagle. The voter commented on seeing an improvement here. Plus it sets them up in the Ninja Village, where some of their future pieces take place. I also like the mention of ring being the "size of a WWE ring" as it ties it nicely to their origin story- being from another dimension that's closer to the modern world.

It's still a little sparse, but they'll improve over time, I'm sure. Next up is Becky Joy!
