I am sorry that I have to take, I try to compensate to at least make some good out of my need for your essence. I try to make it painless, to not kill. To not let these hungers consume me.. And for the most part I succeed.

 
Even though I embrace the dark that does not make me evil, does it? I only take what I need and it is not my fault that I require the very essence of your being. It was the way I was created, the way I am. I can no more help that than you can help needing to breathe. It is just the way it is.

But to you I am the shadow that flits through the darkness, stealing your life, your soul. I take and there is nothing you can do to stop me. No dogs with keen enough sense to detect me, or devices that make your homes impenetrable to me. My magic protects me from being sensed until it is far too late.

I slip in, take what I need and I slip out. And that leaves you without.

"There is so much in this little introduction piece," voter Ichiro stated while rewarding this piece as the Best Solo roleplay of the mission for three bonus points. "So much is learned about the character, most of which isn't even directly stated, but instead implied by the rest of the writing. By the end I felt like I had learned so much about Koumori, but wanted to learn even more."

During his comments on the roleplay (the voter comments on all the roleplays, and I use those comments in the scorecard and here quite often), Ichiro also suggests that "anyone who feels like they are struggling with their character to read this RP, and look at the content, even if you don't like the character archetype."

Honestly, between the comments on the roleplay and why it won the award, I'm sure Ichiro had more words than the roleplay. But it's understandable. This was a really powerful debut.
