By their very nature, Live RP's tend to have tons and tons of interaction between characters, but also tends to be light on overall story. The story simply takes longer because there's more writers with something to say, and for the most part, everyone's taking a turn every step of the way. It makes for a nice contrast against the 'normal' style of AIL. This one might buck that trend a little, due to the challenging nature of the Elite 7.

(Continuity note: This takes place after the last mission, although everyone starts this fight with full health, energy, and armor. Therefore, it takes place before Tower I and Tower II. The Kingdom of KOL forces are facing down Elite 7 members Cattaras Whiteclaw and the Jester King of Beasts. A whole hoard of Knob Goblin reinforcements have arrived and are outside the doors as well. The Kingdom of KOL forces have burst their way into the greeting room of the Knob Goblin controlled Council of Loathing domed headquarters in the middle of Seaside Town.)

<Arkane farts hard and loud. He has just arrived at the fight.>

(WTF?)

<A nearby fire takes stench damage and goes out.>

<Catrina growls and whips out her.... katana. She slashes at the nearest gob.>

<Catrina kills a worthless Knobling.>

<Arkane activates his armor shield and joins the KOKOL forces inside.>

<Lapine twitches her ears. She's a bit worried about the fight.>

Dash: "Alright, we need about half of us to hold off the Knob reinforcements. The other half can take on King Clown and Cat's baby brother again!"

Lapine: "I'll take Goblin duty."

Vixen: "Me too! I might be able to pick pocket something good."

Konall: "I'll fight these bozos."

<Catrina growls.>

Catrina: "That striped asshole is MINE!"

Arkane: "Tallyho."

Dash: "I'll stay with Konall."

Kadlin: "No, Konall, let me take the Elite. You can fight grunts all day and not tire. This fight is going to need my magics."

<Catrina takes a moment to gauge scent in the air- and sneezes.>

Catrina: "Damn smoke."

Becky: "I wanna find my wolfie! I wanna go with the bunnies! I want crayons!"

Konall: "All right. I'll take care of the goblins. Be careful, sis."

<Lapine grabs Todd and drags him with. Becky and Konall go with.>

Arkane: "I got these over here."

<Todd is already tuning up.>

<Arkane points to the Jester King of Beasts.>

<Catrina gazes around sternly- saying any thing she knows will attract him.>

Catrina: "Here Kitty, kitty, kitty."

<Grillhamo suddenly jumps from the second story window and lands in the middle of the fight, taking the same spot in the combat order as Arkane!>

<The Jester King of the Beasts laughs and waves his hand in the air. A random toilet falls through the ceiling and falls toward Kadlin, but by sheer luck it hits an obstruction and lands right next to her.>

<Cattaras, enraged, launches an attack at Catrina, who'll have to dodge. It's aided by the power of the strange necklace he's wearing.>

<Catrina avoids the first few swipes, but a lucky shot hits her and does 7 damage, plus 3 shadow damage.>

<The bikini is shredded leaving Catrina in her bra and panties. Which apparently she didn't have, either.>

<Arkane throws bbq sauce at his target.>

<The spell hits despite his shield nearly turning it away!>

<The spell strikes home, cutting through Black Knight's evil stomach and doing 8 damage.>

<Somehow his armor takes the full damage and laughs it off.>

<Catrina smirks, now standing naked before her brother.>

Catrina: "Isn't it strange how this is always the first thing that you do BROTHER?" <Charges roaring>

<The black knight attacks Kadlin.>

<Kadlin throws up a shield but the knight deflects it.>

<His sword drives into her, doing 13 damage, 3 of it shadow damage.>

<Both of Catrina's hits strike home, and they do 15 damage plus 2 spooky to Cattras's hide.>

Dash: "Surrender the town or face the might of a half dozen warriors!"

<Grillhamo laughs.>

Grillhamo: "I'm not afraid of your petty soldiers. I'll take them all on."

<But Grillhamo was slightly spooked, which Kadlin takes advantage of when she attacks.>

(It was a tie. And Elite 7 are hard to intimidate. Their armor is made from badassium and they have superhuman abilities. They don't scare easily.)

<Stinking tentacles lash out and hit Grillhamo, dealing 16 damage.>

Grillhamo: "Ahh, no life for you!"

<The Jester conjures another random attack.>

Dash: "Will you please stop doing that?"

<A flaming pig flies through the window and hits Kadlin for 10 damage.>

<Cattaras attacks Catrina again.>

Catrina: "Can't help it it's the way they are." <Bounce, jiggle, bounce!>

<Catrina dodges the first attack but gets hit by a punch from the left hand, taking 8 damage, 3 of it shadow.>

<The spell slams into Grillhamo and does 8 damage.>

<Grillhamo attacks Kadlin.>

<But Kadlin deflects the blow.>

<Dash attempts his newfound pickpocket skill on Cattaras.>

<Dash slips the necklace off and then pickpocket's Cattras's pants for good measure.>

Cattaras: "My necklace, my pants! What the?"

<Catrina hisses as a red line appears just under her left breast and she realizes Cattaras is playing a deadly game with her. But in response she growls.>

Catrina: "Best not play this, brother dear- If I do the same you might lose your only friends!" <Charges again>

<The Springer audience is chanting, "Fight naked!" Making me wonder why they were invited to a fire.>

<Cattaras turns and glares at Dash.>

<Dash shrugs.>

<Kadlin conjures the tentacles to attack Grillhamo again.>

<The tentacles hit for another 14 damage.>

<Cattaras takes off running. He chose a bad day to go commando.>

Dash: "Heh.. he forgot to tuck his tail between his legs."

<JKotB attacks Kadlin with a burst of flaming feathers.>

<But Kadlin counterspells it into nothing.>

<Grillhamo attacks Dash.>

Catrina: "Oh HELL no"! <Catrina shifts, trying to place herself in front of her fleeing brother- throwing a kick at where his body should be when she stops.>

<Catrina takes off after Cattras and chases him down the halls, but Cattras is moving way too fast, and he's gone.>

Dash: "Cat! We need you here!"

<Dash falls back looking to avoid the attack!>

<10 tons of claymore come streaking toward Dash, and the disco bandit can't quite dodge. But he manages to barely get nicked by the blade.>

<Dash attempts to Thrust Smack the Jester King from behind!>

<The Jester King sees you coming, but he doesn't phase.>

<The Jester expends a fortune point of his own and changes Dash's luck reroll back from 11 to 1.>

<The Jester jumps into the air and dodges the blow, landing on Dash's head and doing a quick, 1-second jig before jumping off again.>

<Kadlin fires her tentacles at Grillhamo and misses.>

<The Jester waits to make his move this time.>

<Grillhamo attacks Kadlin.>

<Dash grumbles.>

<And Grillhamo hits her hard. Kadlin takes massive damage and falls unconscious.>

<Arkane conjures another sauce stream and hits Grillhamo.>

(Gazpacho sauce.)

<Dash brings a cool ranch Island healing herb to Kadlin.>

<Kadlin restores some health.>

Kadlin: "Thanks but you'll have to protect me. I'm not feeling..."

<She pukes.>

<Dash uses his disco dodge to attempt to dodge it.>

<Dash dodges the puke easily.>

Kadlin: "Thanks for holding my hair." (Sarcastically.)

<Catrina comes flashin back- trying to move behind Grilled ham and cheese or whatever his name was to attack.>

(Damn, the dice just dies- stealth roll 3 stat 6 attack roll 4, 6.)

<Kadlin begins powering up a spell.>

<She crouches behind Dash for protection.>

<Catrina sneaks up on Grillhamo, the knight sees her coming out of the corner of his eye at the last second. He turns, but she's already behind him. Catrina puts both her swords into his back for 34 damage.>

<The Jester attacks Cat with a balloon sword.>

(Why?)

(Because he can.)

<Catrina takes 7 points of damage.>

<Grillhamo attempts to attack Catrina.>

(Dash can get in his way and use his dodge to prevent the attack.)

<Catrina goes down on one knee with a groan- down but not out.>

<Dash attempts to parry the attack to the side.>

<Dash brings up his blade to parry, but the massive claymore comes down in a hammer of pain. Dash takes 22 damage.>

(Grillhamo has 11 strength and a 3-handed weapon.)

(That'd put Dash down.)

<Dash is dead. Well, close, anyway. Kind of.>

<Xanadon pops out of his box and hits Dash with a potion, healing 4 hp and bringing him to barely conscious.>

(Basically, Dash was just so barely dead that he's not going to suffer beaten up, and Kadlin's familiar hasn't done anything yet.)

(But Dash is still unconscious.)

<In a flash, Mtiger's trademark plexiglass clockwork ninja zombie pirate robot jumps into the building, grabs Dash, and escapes. Mtiger strides in confidently.>

<Kadlin conjures a massive tornado of macaroni shards, tearing into Grillhamo for 32 damage.>

<Grillhamo falls to the ground, beaten up, and a mysterious black force teleports away the body. Some of his equipment is left behind.>

<Kadlin taps out to switch to Konall.>

<Catrina chuckles evilly at the mysterious dark force.>

<Konall runs into the room and steps in front of his sister, guarding her as she limps away to drink healing potions.>

Mtiger: "Come forth, then, and face the eyes of justice!"

Jester: "Shut up and drink from the spleen of hilarity."

<The jester shoots a blast of hot coffee and pretzels at Mtiger.>

<The Jester laughs as he expends fortune points in clear violation of the rules, breaking the fourth wall as well.>

<The ceiling starts to cave-in in isolated patches. Each of our heroes has two pieces to avoid.>

Dash: "Don't do it!"

<Mtiger takes 10 damage.>

<Konall lifts up his shield above him, deflecting the raining debris.>

<Kadlin is safely out of the room.>

<Arkane, a victim of expedience, is knocked unconscious so the gamemaster doesn't have to remember his character.>

<Mtiger easily dodges.>

<Catrina dodges everything.>

Jester: "Well that was worthless. Oh well."

MTiger: "Suffer now, the claws of the Kingdom!"

<Mtiger pounds the ever-loving stuffing out of the Jester for 24 damage.>

Jester: "You think you can hurt me! Well you can. That's proven, yes? But I'm still alive and I'm funnier than you."

<MTiger glares and prepares for his next attack.>

<Catrina watches.... strangely aroused.>

<Catrina struggles to her feet and pounces the JKOB.>

<Catrina deals 17 damage to the Jester.>

<She pants, running on fumes.>

<Konall berserks and slams the Jester for 20 damage.>

Dash: "Fall, dammit!"

<The jester disappears in a dark vortex.>

Dash: "That works, too."

<Catrina wobbles and collapses- into MTiger.>

<Kadlin heals everyone, and Konall repairs all armor.>

<Catrina finds herself rubbing against MTiger in a VERY familiar way.>

<Dash turns his head, ignoring it.>

Dash: "Do you two want to divvy up the goods?"

<MTiger seems uncomfortable, but seems to enjoy it.>

<Kadlin takes a heart container.>

<Konall takes a pair of black greaves.>

<MTiger gently rolls her off saying something about the spoils of war.>

Catrina: "Well love- you know what they say goes with pillage and burn...."

Konall: "Booze?"

Kadlin: "I thought it was more pillaging?"

Dash: "Cat! We've still got to save the town from burning down. But while we're in here, we should launch an attack on the King."

<Becky Joy walks in and says hi!>

<Catrina snaps back as if slapped- she looks between Dash and Mtiger open mouthed- then picks up her things and one of the containers and sprints ahead to the next chamber- tail high.>

<The other adventurers grab their loot.>

<Todd pads in behind Becky- watching Catrina dash off.>

Todd: "What's with the naked chick?"

<Dash has the black heart necklace stolen from Cattaras and grabs the Black Chest plate.>

Konall: "I repaired her armor. I don't know why she's not wearing it yet."

<Catrina slams into an invisible wall, which starts pushing her back!>

<No matter which way the heroes turn, it pushes them towards the door.>

<Catrina whimpers- wanting to be anyplace but this!>

Dash: "What in the blazes?"

Kadlin: "It's going to crush us all. Everyone run!"

Kadlin: "This spell's way too powerful!"

Dash: "OH come on!" <Dash grabs Catrina to help her out.>

<Catrina is redirected in her fleeing- but she keeps her eyes firmly on anyone BUT MTiger the whole time.>

<Even Dash's attempt to intimidate the invisible wall fails and we find ourselves outside of the Council of Loathing building, pulling the still recovering Arkane with them as they got out.>

Dash: "We better focus on stopping the fire from outside."

<Catrina growls at MTiger suddenly.>

Catrina: "Stay the hell away from me!"

<She then stalks off to another part of the battle.>

<MTiger looks at where she'd stalked off to, then sighed.>

MTiger: "Of all things bitter have I tasted in battle, none are more so than the fickle throngs of love. Alas, I must fall back to the fringes of battle, so I might rally our troops and lead us to victory."

<Dash nods and turns to see Konall and Kadlin had gone their own way, so Dash turns to help Arkane to a safe location to recover. And all around them, the fire rages and intensifies.>
