Haha, even the OOC comments call it uneventful.. but it wraps up a seriously successful mission series!

This piece, as you can tell from the title, gets us all back to the main storyline.

Amazingly, we're at our 17th piece for the mission! As mentioned elsewhere, the legendary Enter Hey Daze mission. It's due in large part directly and indirectly to the active Live RP sessions we had going for this mission.

(Another less eventful Live RP brings our heroes back.. no dicing here at all so it's more of a co write.. but technically counts as a Live RP! Enjoy! (PS - Blahking was a cameo handled by me in this one.)

<There's a cackle of energy in the middle of Mountaincenter Town that overrides even the sharp howl of the wind. Then, where nothing stood, a bright light fades even as it appears, and in its place stand two figures, and a cracked mirror, glowing with unnatural energy. Prince Blahking stands there, wrapped in a thick yeti fur jacket, crafted moments earlier by Konall Bearsmasher, who stands besides him, ready to fight the first thing he sees. He sees nothing other than a freezing village.>

Konall: "Come on, can't there at least be a dragon? Even a small one?"

<Blahking's eyes light up. His face looked battered, beaten and drained.>

Blahking: "I sense a small one, actually. You're free to stay behind in this frozen hell if you wish to eat it, but I can't say when we'd be back to pick you up. Assuming this damned mirror doesn't simply explode and strand us here."

<Blahking has a well known hatred of the cold.>

<Blahking closes his eyes as he meditates, and sends out a psychic signal aimed at Sebastian Dash, Catrina Whiteclaw, Lapine and Vixen.>

<The energy of warmth around him flickers and fades slightly.>

Blahking: "There.. it's done. As long as no trouble shows up, they'll hear us."

Konall: "I get sucked into a new dimension I'd better see some trouble."

<Blahking smiles thinly.>

Blahking: "It seems this world is a total opposite of ours. If trouble shows it might easily take the look of you, or I. Or your sister, for that matter."

Konall: "Okay, I'll assume everything I see is dangerous."

<Blahking smiles.> "Except possibly me."

<Konall waits for the other to arrive.>

<Meanwhile, the message has reached its intended targets. Dash and Catrina are holding court in the fort castle in the center of town.>

<Dash's ears perk up, hearing the telepathic message from Blahking.>

Dash: "And I was just getting comfortable here, too."

Catrina: "Aww...do we haveta go?"

Dash: "Did you get the telepathic message from our Prince? Doesn't sound like he's got the juice for an extended stay."

<Dash leaned back, enjoying the beauty of the inner walls of the castle. They'd really livened the place up.>

<She giggles> "I was getting used to having a brother I could call a brother again."

<Dash leans over to hug her.> "Yeah.. I guess this goes to show you're noble no matter what world we transcend to. Care to waise the wabbit... I mean raise the rabbit and fox? Or shall I?"

Catrina: "I'd be tempted to join em... again. And like you said."

Dash: "He must be worried if he doesn't simply turned the mirror 'off' and find us, though. Alright, let's go get them."

Catrina moves in and kisses Dash deeply. "And by the way.. thanks for that little.. heh.... discussion we had." With that she moves toward the door- tail still up but not as badly.

<Dash smiles and reflects on the memory. We cut back to Konall and Blahking, moments later.>

Konall: "What's taking them so long?"

<Blahking focuses his energies again, this time into the mirror.>

Blahking: "Maybe they're stuck in a fight for their lives against desperate odds."

Konall: "Maybe they got lost."

Blahking: "That too. I'm afraid to even speculate what else.. hold on. I sense someone coming."

<Blahking turns his attention to a clearing, seeming to sense they're coming from this direction. He pulls a wand out in front of him, preparing for a fight.>

<Konall has his hammer raised.>

<Spaz is investigating the bushes.>

Blahking: "Oh, right Spaz. The hot drinks.. are they ready yet?"

Spaz: "Got 'em."

<Spaz pulls out hot cocoa. His connection with fire lets him warm it easily.>

Blahking: "Thank you. This should convince them we're not evil, as I sense our counterparts are."

Konall: "Wait, we're not evil?"

<Soon enough two figures approached through the snow. As they neared Blahking and Konall could make out that they were male- one tall the other just barely less so. As then came closer the two gentlemen- were revealed to be Daisuke and Cattaras- dressed in a severely conservative manner. As they spotted Blahking and Konall they stopped, paws going to weapons that were strapped at their sides.>

<Blahking holds a hand across Konall's chest.>

Konall: "We don't want a fight, well he doesn't. I'm sure Blahking's going to go on about diplomacy and non-violent solutions and such."

Blahking: "Indeed. Care for a spot of tea or coffee, gentlemen? We're waiting on a few allies of ours and we'll be out of your hair. At least I will. This one tends to be unpredictable."

Spaz: "Unpredictable? Are you kidding? His behavior is entirely predictable. If it's edible, eat it. If it's alcoholic, drink it. If it looks like it might be dangerous, fight it. Otherwise, find something to smash. Who wants hot chocolate?"

Blahking: "A good point raised."

<Right on cue, Sebastian Dash himself walked into sight, and quickly spotted the two KOKOL'ers.>

Spaz: "Heya!"

Dash: "Spaz! Well.. you don't look especially gigantic, so I'm guessing it's really you."

Spaz: "I guess not."

<Dash gets closer smiling.>

Dash: "No it's not you, or no you're not gigantic? We'll be ready to go in a minute or two, by the way."

Konall: "Back home. Good."

Dash: "I figured you'd like it here. Nearly frozen over."

Konall: "Reminds me of home, where I'm not."

Dash: "That's almost deep.. Catrina and the others are following shortly. Someone wants to meet you before we leave."

Konall: "Huh?"

The two male felines relax somewhat and move to join the party. The Daisuke equivalent here purring. "It is well to know that not all of our counterparts have lost their manners." Cattaras nodded with a wicked grin- for him here that is. "Indeed. Why just to see my sister as she is there..." As if on cue two more felines joined the group- both females both remarkably identical. One was dressed in extremely high fashion- even for a walk in the snow and ice- the other was dressed smarter than any pirate on the Mysterious Isle.

Dash: "Psst. ours is the pirate."

Konall: "Friends or targets?"

Dash: "Friends all. Just be worried of anything else looking like us shows up. I hear yours is a sadist."

<A very tired looking, non talkative Vixen and Lapine come into view, but don't seem to be in a talking mood for some reason.>

Konall: "Lapine, is that the mirror you or the real you?"

<The Catrinas moved toward the group- the more severe looking one moving to inspect Konall as Daisuke and Cattaras tensed. "You.... oh Goddess- so alike you are... so much alike..." <She then turns and hurries to the men- who old her protectively. Catrina moves to Blahking and Gives a little pose. "You like?">

<Lapine growls.> "It's us. The other us has totally different fur. But this's really Vixen, too. She just died her hair red for some reason."

<Vixen giggles.> "All part of my elaborate plan to save you, Lapine! You're welcome."

Lapine: "Whatever.. So are we going home?"

Konall: "If at all possible. Blah, is it possible?"

<Blahking looks at Catrina, appreciating the grace.> "Indeed. I dare say Feena would approve too."

Blahking: "Just a matter of gathering everyone here. You must be Catrina's counterpart.. but I sense a spirit of nobility to you rather than evil. Thank you for taking well of my friends."

Konall: "Or do I need to call you Prince Blahking, high emperor your majesty with nobs on and all that your grace sir?"

<Blahking curtsies to Lady Whiteclaw.>

<Blahking frowns at Konall.> "No, 'Your superiority' would do nicely, Konall."

Spaz: "Squirrel!"

<Everyone present inexplicably turns to look at the unseen squirrel for several seconds.>

<Else where back in 8 bit land Sir Fumblies was trying to escape from a band of invisible ninjas that had captured him while he had been invisible while heading towards the door after leaving the Mushroom Town.>

<He got back home but has somehow figured how to go back and forth at will.>

<He gets bored of that, and teleports back home to wait for Konall to return.>

<Konall walks back through the portal.>

<The bunny and fox get bored and follow. We stick with the Mountaincenter Village side of things for now.>

Dash: "Lady Whiteclaw.. we'll try to get in touch with you again in the near future. There's much left to discuss.. but our home needs us right now."

<The Lady Whiteclaw smiled at Blahking.>

Lady: "And may I say I find your humor much more... agreeable than your counterpart's. When I heard just who it was who was coming to my new friend's rescue well... I almost forbade them to leave."

Blahking: "Nasty creature, I take it? You seem well suited for defending it; would you care to keep our artifact here safe until such a time you can contact us safely?"

<The Lady contemplates.>

Lady: "May I see the item in question, please?"

<Dash and Blahking gesture towards the large mirror that cracks of mystical energies.>

Dash: "Artifact of the Jester King of Beasts, one of our enemies."

Lady: "Hmm.. What a strange name...<She inspects the artifact closely- peering deep into it. "Ohhh... I believe I have seen one of these before. Luckily he does not know its true power, obviously."

Dash: "Possibly. He's quite insane.. And I think I can hear Konall mumbling for us to hurry. So I must take my leave, Lady. The whole 'town on fire' thing.."

The lady smiled a thin sweet smile, stepping up to give Dash the faintest of pecks on the cheek. "Be well, my fiend. Be well all of you until we meet again. Some day when things are quieter I may decide to return the favor and visit you."

<Dash nods, briefly hugs her, and vanishes through the mirror, happy to find Seaside Town on the other side.. but disappointed to see the inferno rages only more intently.>

Dash: "Alright.. are we making ground or losing it?"

Konall: "Well, let's see what we can do about that fire."

<Dash nods. A moment later, Blahking appears and we swap notes.>

<In the invisible world surrounding Seaside Town Sir Fumblies was trying to hold back the group of invisible goblin ninjas, the same group who had kidnapped Fumblies for a short while in eight bit land, who were undermining the fire fighting efforts. While the rest were off in the mirror world Fumblies had been able go back and forth between the visible and invisible realms.>

Dash: "Who's this?"

<Fumblies looks around after he hears the question trying to see who was being talked to.>

Fumblies: "Who is who?"

Dash: "Who're you? Friend, foe or victim?"

Fumblies: "I am Sir Fumblies Falanges and I am new around here but I am trying help put out the fires by fighting off a group of invisible goblin ninjas."

Dash: "Eh, if it works for you. Konall.. what'd we miss while we were 'off world?'"

<In the other world, Catrina hugged her duplicate who hugged her back surprisingly tight. "You be careful. I've grown as fond of you as I have of myself."

<The lady smiled in return.> "You take care as well. I do hope that you one day find a way to be reunited with your family." With that and a hug to Cattaras and Daisuke, Catrina stepped into the beam and found herself home.>

Catrina: "well.. at least it's warmer...."

<Sir Fumblie blinks and then disappears to go fight a group of invisible ninjas who were carrying pails of gas. After dealing with them he reappears a few feet away and looks around.>

Fumblies: "Sorry about that."

Dash: "No biggie."

<Catrina set her sternest battle look on her face as she turned to the others.>

Catrina: "Okay people- let's get this town under control! I've got another fire to deal with after this!"

Dash: "So.. why do you keep going invisible?"

Fumblies: "There are goblin ninjas all about on the invisible plane that are trying to keep the fire ablaze."

Dash: "Huh.. that's weird."

<Dash thinks.>

Dash: "How many of them?"

Fumblies: "I don't know there are all over the place."

Dash: "Figures.. Alright, so Konall's taken off. We better get to work, too."

<Fumblies goes to get fight off the ninjas as best he is able while walking in seemingly random directions.>

<Becky Joy bumps right into him!>

Fumblies: "I am sorry."

Becky: "Hehe, oh yeah I remember you you're.. um.. you're you, right?!"

<Becky looks excited.>

<Fumblies grins slightly as he nods before bowing slightly.>

Fumblies: "I am Sir Fumblies Falanges of Faraway Land." <Fumblies starts to stand back up and trips over his own feet falling into one of the fires putting it out as he hits the ground.>

<Becky giggles, and helps him up.>

Becky: "Hehe you tripped!"

<Fumblies nods in thanks as he looks around sheepishly.>

Fumblies: "Yes I did and that is why they threw me off the third season of Faraway Idol."

<Becky seems confused but then she holds her hands up.>

Becky: "Hey oh! Oh hey! Wanna see how I put the fires out?!"

Fumblies: "Yes ma'am I do."

<Becky concentrates really hard, then blasts a snowstorm over the next building.. the snow slowly drifts down, methodically putting out the nearby fires.>

Becky: "I should probably do all the fires like that but it just gets sooo boring!"

Fumblies: "That is a good way to do it."

<He blinks and then disappears for a minute to hit a ninja on the head before reappearing.>

Becky: "Where'd you go?!"

<Becky builds a snow ball and hands it to Fumblies.>

Fumblies "I had to fight a ninja."

Becky: "What ninja?!"

<Becky looks around wildly.>

Becky: "I don't see no ninja!"

<Fumblies throws the snowball and it hits a goblin ninja causing it to appear.>

<Becky then freezes his legs together and kicks him. He runs away.>

Becky: "Sneaky ninjas! Hey.. hey.. how should I put that fire out?"

<Becky points to another burning building.>

<He thinks a minute and grins> Fumblies: "Well how about you cast ice in air above the building and let it fall."

<Becky giggles!>

<She pulls out her focus item, a toy yeti, and tosses it in the air a couple times.>

Becky: "Really for real, that's what you want?"

Fumblies: "Yes that would be good."

<Becky suddenly focuses and conjures a large chunk of ice to fall on the building. Unfortunately, it's a big chunk and the building isn't very stable, so it does more damage than good. Becky dances around and claps anyway!>

<As she does a group of ninjas appear to attack and protest the ice.>

<Oh no.. what a way to end our story! We'll have to wait til the Big Finale for more, k-bye!>

Now that the gang is back, it's time to dive into the Mission Finale.. which has some huge surprises in it and sets up the next mission (the Season Finale) nicely.
