Mission: Guild Warriors II: Machines and Soul subtitle: Space Elves, Dash, Cattaras Posted by Space Elf Glyn Original co write
It's been a while since I've worked on this. As I write this, I've just posted part one of the final mission's five part finale. So now I'm getting back to archiving.
This is where we start to deal with the fall out of the last mission, where Kadlin whips up a magical storm. I think it's handled quite well and might be the best overall 'fallout' roleplay this mission.

<Sorry to do this to you Dash, but we've got better things to do than underutilize precious seconds by talking out loud. Triage assessment and medical treatment for the surviving wounded survive is underway, the dead will be handled with respect, and there's a whopper of incoming inclement weather to take shelter from. Suggesting that we welcome the gathered on board our inbound ship, and try not to make like Dorothy and Toto after the tornadoes strike in full. Seems Konall and some of the others have taken to tracking down the offenders, or securing the opponents who fell,> broadcasted Glyn.
Dash broadcast his own thoughts on the matter back. Yeah, alright. Kadlin's leaving peacefully. She blasted some kind of spell into the sky. I'm guessing that's tied to your 'inclement weather' or whatever you called it.
Glyn: <That seems highly likely, Dash. Raven, feel free to suggest ways to secure passengers, just in case the turbulence rocks the ship's stability. You all know how I feel about flight at the best of times, so I'm just going to concentrate on the wounded. Jen, any else?>
Raven: <I recommend forming restraints for them. I’m going to focus on going after the one responsible for this.>
Jen: <I'm summoning the ship. We've only got a few moments; get people into solid shelter. We'll catch up with Kadlin later.>
Dash's voice came one last time over the mental telecommunications. I'll be out there soon. Do we know if the tornadoes will hit the ground? Konall's going to take a few of the others just in case.
Glyn: <It would seem we'll be experiencing the warm-up to the actual storms, Dash. The storms will shift as time goes along, but presently I'd say that the goal of Kadlin's last actions were to stymie any pursuit, and wreck havoc on the surrounding population.>
Cattaras growled. "Are you through yet?"
"Oh, let's go, Catt. Unless you're staying with Konall."
Konall just nodded. He had things to do, by the sword of Boris!
Cattaras just smirked at Dash as he made ready to go. "Me and the crazy bitch's brother? Yeah, that'd end real well!"
Dash and Cattaras made their way outside, where the space elves were tending to the wounded. "We're here, Jen. What do you want us to do?" Cattaras wasn't saying much- eyes on the ship, tail flicking behind him nervously.
Jen: "Be at peace Cattaras. That's our transportation."
Cattaras calmed and nodded. "Ah... an airship, got it. Nice look though."
"You should see how it flies," Dash said. He looked around. "How're you coming with the wounded?"
Catt muttered. "Surprised it does- no gas bag or anything..."
Dash just eyerolled.
"All critically injured non-combatants have been stabilized, and treatment procedures underway. Initiating the ship's transportation sub-routines," replied Glyn. "Sorry, kiddos - no free nanites this time, but bet you'll have a great story to relate to friends and family later. I'm very sorry for your loss and suffering, but I am sure justice will be swiftly served."
"Nanites... Hey is that why you get all goofy looking sometimes? Well.. goofier than usual." Catt nudged Dash.
"You did not just mock our space elven ranger... ah, Morlenciri official attire, Sir Cattaras?" grinned Glyn.
"Yeah, kitty," Dash teased with a smile. "Show a lil respect, ya commoner."
"Nah, I"m just razzin on meatboy's face." Catt chuckled.
"Glyn," Dash said, addressing him directly. "Do we need to evacuate any of the locals?"
"It would seem Southern Degrassi should be in the clear, and I expect the locals will try to perform countermeasures to cancel or lessen Kadlin's meteorological mayhem. Feel free to be guided accordingly, Dash, Cattaras." reported Glyn. <Raven, a quick word in private to you and Tarvel: you might wish to delay departing until you feel 100% mentally after facing Soul Shield and Shadow Puppet King again. If you fall unconscious or your will fails during a subsequent encounter, your suit may auto-guide your responses but I suspect that is suboptimal against attacks and maneuvers that require elven ingenuity to prevail against.>
<My mental faculties are just fine, thank you,> Tarvel thought back to Glyn, narrowing her eyes. <But I appreciate the concern.>
Bowing to Cattaras and Sebastian Dash, Glyn continued: "Your mages would be attempting to dissolve the aberrant weather, correct? The loss of life and property caused by its continuation would derail the progress of the local economy certainly."
"To be honest," Dash answered. "I don't think there's much in the way of mages around Degrassi. Certainly not the kinds with the skill to handle a problem like this."
"We certainly don't have anything," Jen said.
"What about your ship?" Dash inquired.
"Extremely limited capacity for transporting people. Certainly not enough to evacuate this town. We do not have any weather controlling technology, if that was where you were going with this."
"Was hoping." Dash turned to Glyn. "At least tell me we know where the most dangerous areas are."
"We'll split up into teams then," commanded Jen. "We'll put the information on a continuous feed."
"I better stick with Dash then, much as it'll slow me down." Cattaras growled. "Where do we head first?"
Dash acknowledged the data entering his mind almost faster than he could keep up with. "We should start on the outskirts of Degrassi. Cattaras can get there quickest, and I can make good time myself."
Cattaras suddenly grinned. "Gimme a landmark close by."
"I'll lead you there myself," Dash said. With that, the two took off.
Jen addressed the others. "Our course is obvious. I'll head to the center of town and begin evacuation. Glyn, find any aid you can and assist when the tornado actually touches down. Raven, Tarvel, you'll handle the wounded at this location."
Tarvel opened her mouth to protest but stopped. "Very well. I'll see to the wounded. Have fun in the town."
Meanwhile, after a bit of trudging Cattaras chuckled. "Okay, we're away from the chicks so you won't be embarrassed. Give on the place, man."
"To be honest," Dash said, pointing into the distance. "I couldn't find a commanding way to say, 'out that'aways around the trees and hills.'"
Cattaras nodded- then grabbed Dash tightly. "Good enough, hang on."
"No, wait," Dash started, but it did no good; they were off!
Dash and Cattaras will be dealing with this disaster a little more but other than that, we're moving into the mission goals. Next up, Wildfall meets up with a couple familiar faces of AIL...
