Mission: 10 Scenarios Posted by Konall Original co-write
There's songs that say "We all need a little more love," and here's a roleplay for such that.
Well, sort of. Anyway, here it is!

When she'd first arrived, Aleena had thought of this as a primitive planet, one she could improve with technology and education. But this was a world that worked by completely different rules than she was used to. And now Kadlin was the most frightening in a long line of people to use those rules toward horrible ends. Aleena had gone from wondering how she could help this world to wondering how much there would be left after Kadlin was done with it. Suddenly her cybernetic systems flared warning impulses. Intruders! Sentient ones! Approaching quickly! They were right- "Hi," said Konall. Aleena turned and smiled. She jumped up and ran to Konall, wrapping her arms around him. "I've missed you." "I've missed you too." He pulled her back to look at her. "You're okay. I had a nightmare that Kadlin had unleashed a mutation spell that.... nevermind. It was horrible. I'd heard something from the spirits that it was so, but I must have misheard. I'm so relieved." "That nightmare was probably the result of our connection. It really happened. Perhaps we subconsciously reached out to each other." "That happens? So those sex dreams I had about you where..." Aleena laughed. "I think that might've been just you." She gave Konall a tight squeeze. "But I am very glad you have been thinking of me." Konall took her strength-enhanced hug without any problems. "I'm glad to see you too. And I'm glad your beauty got restored. I can't believe my sister... No. I can. I'd like to send you safely home, but I should warn you. There's a fight here that terrifies me. I've hardly been scared since my first battle when I was 14. But this... Kadlin's trying to unleash the incarnation of destruction. If she succeeds, it'll mean the end of this world, the universe, the gods, the afterlife... everything. If we lose, there won't be anywhere to run to, because there just won't be anywhere. And to be honest, I can't imagine a greater battle anywhere in the universe. I'd hate for you to miss it." "I... the Empire believes Kadlin isn't a threat to anything she can't see." Aleena gave Konall a sympathetic look. Konall shook his head. "Kadlin's being manipulated. The real threat is the pure destruction she's releasing. You don't really need to believe all of this. Can you accept that she's about to do something horrible beyond her comprehension? That she needs to be stopped at all costs?" "Perhaps... but what can we do? She blew through us like we weren't even there. She even survived direct weapons fire from our starship. We burned a hole in the ground!" "I don't know. But she's undead. I'm a shaman. I can handle undead. At least I should be able to. And I might be able to talk her into giving up the sword. There's still some of her old self left. Some of her it hasn't destroyed. Can you promise me that if... when I get the sword from her that you'll take it to the deepest hole in the universe and throw it in?" "I promise it shall be done," Aleena said. "One other thing. I was raised to fight hard, fight well, and let come what may. But with the world on the verge of ending, I'm asking myself what's really important. And at the top of that list is realizing that I never should have let things fall apart with you the way they did If there's any way I can fix that I need to do it." Aleena cracked a weak smile before burying her face in the barbarian's broad chest. "I am sorry for what had happened." "It was my fault. I expected our relationship to be something that it was never going to be and never needed to be. You're beautiful and a fantastic warrior. Can you forgive me for being even more of an idiot than normal?" "Only if you can forgive me for hurting you. I haven't been the same since we parted." Konall smiled broadly. "Of course. When do you have to leave this mountain?" "It will take us at least an hour to complete takeoff preparations." "Then we'll have to be quicker than usual," Konall said as he tackled her into the bushes.
I've praised Aleena and Konall before and with very good reason but I will say again - I really enjoy their co-writes.
Even with all these stories so far, we've stil got over half a dozen left before the huge Finale! And it is huge. (Hyuuuuge. Just sayin'.)

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOKOL doesn't own KOL. Get it? Good! ! |
