MISSION INFORMATION This is the out of character mission information and RP Notes for what was originally intended to be our final mission ever. Basically, I laid out ten scenarios for the players to take care of or address. The plan was to do a five part Finale. Instead, I ended up posting four parts and making the fifth part a new mission. And an open mission with no set deadline. We'll see how that goes in the future, hopefully. In the meantime, this was an excellent mission - but there's only a handful of RP notes here.
NOTE: This mission is unscored. Due to the unfortunate timing and situation of this mission, we had no one to vote for this mission (and probably not for the next either). Because of that, I'll simply skip the "vote card" section and post the Score to date as normal.
RP notes kind of slipped off too after the first eight. Ohwell.
MISSION INFO
The few mission notes we have are below. And for those that didn't get notes? Here.
Pieces missing notes:
Sassy Snake, Todd and Wildfall's only co-write
There's ten points hinted on in the Rollover that I am hoping to hit, but first, let me get to this part. I am hoping for very strong roleplaying here. Note we need to plot together when possible - but when that isn't possible, use your best judgment and write. Make. Things. Happen. Players have freedom to add new challenges and twists as they see fit. Use that power. And feel free to take on the 10 situations directly. It wouldn't be so bad to handle the 9 points here during roleplaying. You can tackle Kadlin - the last situation- as well, but remember we are currently planning on saving that one for last. Mission 10- here's our ten scenarios. One thing I want to mention, I want our heroes to be backed up against the wall. Constantly pounded away on. Beat up, shoved down. Things can and should go well. Write alone. Write together. Just write if you're at all able. Let's make this the best closing story we can! Note: We kept details on many of these vague for players to fill out, both to give players more choices in how the story develops and to keep the Rollover under control. Read up on roleplaying. If that gets tough, rely on roleplay notes, which will be a little more important here, I predict. There's ten main scenarios to deal with. These are roughly listed as they come up in the Rollover, so read it first. How many of the 10 scenarios did you pick up on?
I’d like to see a good part of Kadlin’s vision either start to come true or come very close during the story here. Goodluck, everyone! Please, please try to keep up on these, especially early on, as we've a fairly complex story. Especially if you're changing the story as you go.. Thanks! Goodluck all! Long story short, Cattaras talks to Dash in Seaside Town and helps him track down Catrina, who's punishing herself with a brawl with the locals in a sleazy bar, wrong side of the tracks. Dash tells her to knock it off, since he needs her help with the situation with the Chrono Dragon and all of time potentially ending. That's when the pirate, Coconuts (Rebecca) shows up to offer our heroes a boat ride to the island. She spoke of the dragon's problems a well. Just to punctuate the importance of things, the vixen and feline goddesses spoke to Dash, Todd, Cattaras, Catrina and Fahari in a vision, where they explained the dragon is dying, and emphasized the severity of the situation, saying "there are several ways that things may go wrong- and any would mean victory for our dark enemy!" That wasn't the only dark prophesy; there was this line as well. "Beware, my child. Not all who fight with you in this battle will be on your side at the end." Finally, Fahari revealed a third warning from the vision as well. "I.. I too am at a loss from our meeting. In her parting with me the Goddess said that 'a friend of Felinity’ will help me when it is darkest- and unlock power long hidden." We end it with the heroes boarding Captain Moran's ship. Note: Coconuts debuted along with her crew, the Chrono Dragon and Moondreams the hippie way back in Season on in the Chrono Quest. Where Catrina also debut. The RP closes with Dash saying goodbye to Aleena and Jen boarding the ship to discuss events with Cattaras. Dash also mentioned while Catrina, Cattaras and Fahari are set to head to the Mysterious Island to deal with the Chrono Dragon, Dash and Todd are set to stay behind in the Kingdom to deal with other matters.. you know, crazy airships, random portals, multiple uprisings against Kadlin, a Penguin Mafia takeover of Seaside Town. The boring, mundane stuff. Hehe. As they finish off most of the beasts, Todd is revisited by one of the succubses which attempted to drain his life force in Hey Daze. She’s joined by Zedika Dark and an unnamed Mirrorworld version of Todd Blackpaws. (Of course, Dark is Dash’s evil counterpart from the Mirrorworld.) Fortunately, Katherine comes along in time to fight Dark. We get three separate battles. Todd vrs. his dark self, the succubus vrs. Dash and Swift vrs. Dark. It comes down to Dash taking on the evil Todd (whom Dash dubbed Darkfox) in our dramatic cliffhanger. It focuses on a meeting between Jen, Prince Blahking, Fluffy Hamster, Catrina, Cattaras, Fahari and Becky Joy. They go over the situation and history with the Dragon and KOKOL so it's worth reading just for that. Short story, Catrina, Dash, the pirates and a few others were involved in freeing the dragon from a nasty curse early in Season 1. The dragon is dying now. Due to the curse, its offspring isn't ready to take its duties over - and this could mean time itself is in literal danger. Blahking starts acting weirdly and rudely out of character when the topic of the Feline goddess comes up. Cattaras ushers the others (except Fluffy who is napping) out of the room to discuss the situation with them, as they note how oddly Blahking is acting. Jen figures it's just stress. Note we NPC's Blahking and Fluffy for this as their handlers are long gone. In the piece I titled "Shadow Boxing Finale," we basically bring to an end the fight from the last issue, with our heroes barely able to drive off the attacking succubus, Darkfox and Zedika Dark. Although Todd smashes his guitar over Dark's head, Dash tosses a harmonica to Todd, who uses it to play the same song which he and his Vixen goddess sang not terribly long ago. It was enough to help them drive off their attackers, hopefully sending the succubus back to Hey Daze. Todd passes out on his last attack, leaving Katherine Swift and Sebastian Dash to carry him as the three press on further into the mainland. The piece ends with Wildfall being assigned to work with Twitch with the Degrassi situation while, well, let me quote the roleplay directly. Fumblies slipped out of the outpost to go handle what he hoped would be short but profitable personal mission.
