WARNING: Warning: DO NOT - DO NOT click the "original roleplay" links. The forum they used to link to now includes tasteful, tactful porn. Soooo. it's better not to click, especially if it leads to invisionfree. I'll try to get it fixed, eventually, but for now, if you want to avoid pornographic images, don't click the original roleplay link. (Unless you're into it, in which case you do you.)
Also: I'm still alive. As I type this. Tomorrow is anyone's guess. |

We're back.. mostly back as I write this. I have the mission folders uploaded but have to upload the rest soon. Miss us? I'll add more soon, so if you get empty folders that's probably why. (Becky's will be half updated til I finish updating it and upload.) |
|

I just noticed our website at freeservers is gone, and the idiots don't have an option for me to retrieve the website, so it's probably lucky I got a complete archive set up here. I don't know where it'll go up next, but I wanted to write this update before making a final update, since I might end up having to edit the whole damned website, depending on where it ends up. Especially if there's no subdomains at the new home. *Sighs* This sucks a bit. |

Another small update: I updated Zanther Wolf, although like Vixen, there wasn't that much to update after the last update back in 2011. Unlike Vixen, I didn't even use him as a NPC after! Anyway, here it is: Wolf's updated AIL history. (I didn't really touch the older stuff much like usual since I haven't talked to the player in so long but I did add a handful of references to the player, mostly by Becky Joy.) |
|
January 21st, 2017 |
With our first official season 3 mission 1 getting some steady roleplaying, I've also updated Vixen's AIL history! She was a player for a few years early on, and then used as a NPC for a few years since. Most of the new entries are her as a NPC. One again, I've updated the writeups for the index page, plus added the latest new characters with season 3 bios. The next planned entries for history updates: Zanther Wolf, Becky Joy and Todd Blackpaws. Those last two might take a while... (updated the sizing/ spacing for the mission links a little, too... |

Alright, it took long enough, but Catrina Whiteclaw's long and illustrious history page is finally updated for the first time since August 28th, 2011! She's come a long way since then, where she had recently taken over the Feline Empire. The new edition covers the entire first two seasons, plus one more cameo entry. (I also rewrote and updated most of her older entries.) Check it out! (To go with it, I've updated the writeups for the index page, plus added the latest new characters with season 3 bios.) |

Happy new year to you all! This is the very first post of 2017, and it's to mark the 25th ever AIL mission being posted! It's mafia town, the mission zero of season three, kickstarting the season off by wrapping up (hopefully) the last two leftover problems from the Season 2 finale - portals and penguins.
(There's a little typo on the logo, but I let the handler know, and I'll put the correct version up when I get it.
Hope you all had good winter holidays and a great 2017! - JAD

To those in the US and/ or celebrating, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving! It's just coming to an end here as I write this update. Mission 10.5 is up and on the forums, season 3 has started! (Although it's a slow start. Eh. Happens.) Stay tuned for more updates!

October 1st, 2016 |
No major updates, although roleplaying for the latest AIL mission: Season 2, 10.5, just ended.
Season 3 should be live in a couple weeks! I revamped the AIL forum, fixing the images. I've also uploaded some new versions of pages from various missions with various format fixes to this archive website. Broken links, typos, that kind of thing.

August 28, 2016 |
As promised, I've started updating older AIL characters. The first update is an AIL mainstay from our very first mission- Konall Bearsmasher. His history had originally been posted August 23, 2011. This not only updates it, but gives the older entries a massive overhaul as well. It's worth checking out as he was one of our very best writers. Next up is another one with a lot of history of her own - Catrina Whiteclaw! (Oh, and I fixed the links on this page slightly as well.) Logo graphic collection is updated as well. Finally!

August 11, 2016 |
Just a week and a day after the last update, I've added histories for Lalucia, Glyn , Jay and Tarvel, meaning a history is up for every character currently on the AIL active roster. Since it's going to be a while before I archive another mission, my next goal will be updating older character histories. Still, this is a pretty big moment and I'm glad I've now gotten something up for so many characters!
|
|
August 4, 2016 |
Over the last month, I've been focusing on the character history section, updated through the 10 Scenarios mission.
These are the first character updates in over four and a half years: Xodus the Wanderer, Summer & Wildfall, Sassy Snake and Zed Shinestone.

It took quite a while- there were a lot of roleplays to archive for what was originally going to be the last AIL mission ever. (Not a lot of notes, though.)
But it's up. Also, the "10.5" mission roleplaying is underway and ongoing. No set deadline. But we're thinking we might actually do a third season once we finish up with it. Stay tuned for more!

February 19, 2016 |
Okay, so granted. The Return to Hey Daze gets posted almost half a year after the last one. But it is a massive mission. I consider the mission itself a huge success. I'm just sorry it took me so long to get it posted. But the point is, it's posted! So check it out! Right now as I write this, the 'bonus' mission really hasn't gone anywhere, and I'm not sure how or if I'll be able to finish it off properly. But that's a concern for later. The new mission is up, and there's only one fully completed mission to archive for now!

August 17, 2015 |
Sorry. I was half way into working on the MASSIVE Series Finale when my father, who had cancer, saw his condition deteriorate fatally. That's no excuse for this being THIS late, but well, that's how it ended up being. I think it kind of got "tainted" in my mind by those events.. and they took a while to recover from. Anyway! It took me a while, but the next mission in the set, Guild Warriors II: Machines and Soul is officially up! It was our last mission split into two smaller quests, which actually made doing the spoiler page a bit harder, as it tends to. Go check it out for the small and brief return of Awakesun!

January 20, 2012 |
Pfffft, about time! For the link to Konall's Grudge to be active, I mean. As I write this, we've extended the deadline for the Season two Finale, 10 seasons, til February 14th, too.
|
|
July 10, 2012 |
Finally, the massively successful Holiday mission is up! An incredible twenty four role-plays / co writes makes this our most participated mission in a long time in terms of roleplays, ext. Eleven separate handlers contributed to this one, giving it more handlers than most missions. And of course, it's our first ever official holiday mission. It also sees the return of the bosses from the Enter Hey Daze Finale and several player characters - and we finally get to actually see the slavers from Catrina's back-story- the ones mentioned to be in the Kingdom during the mirror world mission.
Good stuff all around!

For Mayday, I finished touching up Villa Mission's archive, mostly just bringing it in line with current missions. I did make the previous/ main/ next buttons on top of each individual page a little easier to read, though. I also used it to work on some early-in-progress sets of NPC bios which I'll link once I get a little more substance there. That should only be a year or two at this rate, heh.

April 24, 2012 |
Let's see. My birthday weekend went well, thank you for asking. (I'm assuming you asked as soon as you saw the date.) AiL is currently in it's eight mission of season two.. and the archive for the mini-mission The Third Faction is up! Since there wasn't much roleplaying time, there wasn't much in the way of writing compared to a usual mission but it still held it's own. Still, it was fairly easy to get up. The next mission, Holiday, won't be anywhere nearly as easy; the thing was huge! |
|
April 6, 2012 |
Return to Mirrorworld was by any measurement, a gigantic mission. Especially by our measurements, which I'm sure are somewhere between English and metric. Thanks to Zed's handler "Zwoo" for doing the mission logo at Cool Text dot com. I'm very proud of this one! Three new handlers debut, three handlers return after a period ranging between months and several months, and I prove my dedication to avoiding having a life by debuting my third player character, Wildfall. Plus lots of fights, some good humor, and a lot of solid storytelling. The next mission was a mini mission so that'll be easier to archive. Then I have the Holiday mission to do, and I think that one was bigger than even this one! Anyway, enjoy Ail's second trip the flip dimension, aka mirrorworld!

February 29, 2012 |
Just over a month after the last update, I'm pleased to say The Philler Gang mission is archived.
|
|
January 25, 2012 |
I did a little touch-up editing on the original AiL sample mission. Totally redid the Spoilers page. (It's the first page uploaded with links to the individual character history section.) Started working on the latest AIL mission The Philler Gang as well. (Will add a link when it's finally up.)
|
|
January 13, 2012 |
I updated the original AiL sample mission, tweaking the code to a more modern format and fixing a few errors here and there. I plan to make similar adjustments to the rest of the missions as time goes on. I also plan to use it to start making a directory for key NPC's and possibly other stuff as well. I might even get to creating Blahking's history at some point, too.
January 8, 2012 |
And just four days later, with the history sheets of the accountant Ozzie Whelk, Honorburg's own Cyber Sunset and space queen Aleena posted, I'm officially caught up on the history sheets. At least, as far as the archived history. I'll have to add more missions before I add any more history, but I want to go over and fix some of the older missions and character sheets before I get to that. I also want to update the Typical Tavern section and add the entries there to character history sheets. So in other words, still a lot I wanna get done. |
|
January 4, 2012 |
Happy New year! Happy 2012, everyone! Here's to a non world ending year hm? Despite the lack of news on it, I've been working on crafting new history sheets in the background. Here's the ones finished as of now, with just Ozzie, Cyber Sunset, and Aleena to finish.
The plan is to finish the last three profiles up through Return of the Dashing Rogue. Then, I can get back to catching up on archiving missions. (Speaking of which, the list of them above is updated through the expected new mission as well.) |
|
October 27, 2011 |
Rather than updating more recent missions, I've been working on getting the character histories up to date as of the Return of the Dashing Rogue mission. So far, so good. So far, "the Dashing Rogue" Sebastian Dash,, Konall Bearsmasher, Queen Catrina Whiteclaw, the daring thief Vixen, the winged hero Zanther Wolf, and the very silly ice mage Becky Joy have gotten their histories updated through AIL's first fifteen missions! More should be going up over the upcoming weeks and months until everyone's up to speed. |
|
July 9, 2011 | We've just finished the next mission, Philler Gang, but as far as archives go, Return of the Dashing Rogue is now up! Enjoy it. I did the art by hand, myself. It isn't great but it's.. well you can decide that. This was an exceptional mission which saw Fahari, Todd Blackpaws, and Cyber Sunset all reaching new levels of quality.. and a death that doesn't stick very long! :)
Oh, and Sebastian Dash's bio is now much less updated than it was a while ago. (Added links for War in Seaside Town and a bit beyond..) Now to work on the next active mission and the archive for The Philler Gang mission...
March 1, 2011 | Keeping tradition with my once a month updates, I've got Royal Scavenger Hunt- Princesses in danger! posted - the first official mission of season two! Thrill to the exploits of Aleena and Dash! Be chilled by the cold entry of the evil demon, Dios! Be inspired to go do long division by the debut of Ozzie Whelk... Just go read the damn thing.
May 24, 2010 | Although the mission itself dragged out for way too long, I've finally gotten the archive of Guild Warriors: Faction satisfaction got up in a fairly reasonable amount of time (considering how much work it takes to put together one of these things..) Please do read and enjoy. I'm off to work on the tenth archive.. Meanwhile, I've also replaced the "Mission archive" link with a link to the Wiki, since I don't think I'll be using it anytime soon.
May 7, 2010 | Finally added the Spoilers page for Meet the Council.
Also we'e ravamped the Wiki page! Next up: Finishing up the Finale for the current mission, Seaside Town: The Burning, filling out the wiki, and moving on to archive the next mission, "Guild Warriors: Faction satisfaction." You know.. the one that nearly killed AIL. |
|
March 26, 2010 | With AIL back to going strong, I'm back to updating this. Most of the archive for "Meet the Council," the first AIL mission to use subquests is up, although I still need to add the spoiler section. I like the design here.
I think that's all that's missing. We're currently on our tenth mission of the first season, and MTC was the seventh season, so I'm two behind. Finally, I updated the Equinox site above to point to the archive of the original which is long gone. I need to update the other pages sometime, but future missions should remove the bad links. | October 13, 2008 | The "The characters of AiL" section is finally completely, totally, absolutely 100% finished.. except for recent news, season so far, and the bio sheets. I'll get to that eventually- I hope
I've been focusing on the updates in preparation for working on our brank spankin' newly spanked wiki! The geek in me is still weeping with celebration, even if it is a lil weak right now... Go help us! |
September 20, 2008 | As seen above, Enter Hey Daze, our most successful mission to date, is UP and ONLINE! Go bask in the bigness of this giant success story. *Grins*
November 17th, 2008 | Update time, finally! The character bio section was updated a bit. This's mostly because I plan to export it to our Wiki roster page,
In other news which may be obvious from the first news, we now have a no pop up, anyone-can-edit (I think) Wiki! You may or may not prefer using it over this version. I dunno, I try not to judge - I just update both- and the forums.
|
|
August 4, 2008 | Updated the main page for Battle for Cobb's Knob. It now has information on the mission and main participants instead of blank templates. Added links for last update. Hurray for revision!
August 2, 2008 | Long overdue update! Missions three through five are up! Shouldn't be anything missing. I'll work on cleaning it, but I wanted to finally get it up. No character sections are up.. yet.. hopefully soon!
October 12, 2006 | Although it might not be online for another day or two, this's when I officially started working on this website.
October 27, 2006 | Uploaded the site to wa.8m.com/Ail without publicly releasing it.
2006 | I guess this's the first year we existed? |
