War in Seaside Town Dash, Cat and Konall

Note: (Note: Logo credit goes to "The player formerly known as The Nice Sorceress" Brian Fisher aka brielgar.)

After a few missions of AIL's lowest points, we take the next step in this mission. It was on the path to be considered a fairly inactive mission, although that was in a shorter, month and a half roleplay period (extended one single day for the benefit of Shamus XTreme.) It did get a nice mix of veteran characters, however, with Guac, Shamus, and Raw Hide each pitching in, and of course, mainstays Catrina Whiteclaw and Sebatian Dash are along for the ride!

However, this marks the first, second and third "Live roleplays." An entirely new concept run by the handler of Konall Bearsmasher, who was a key player in AIL's early days.

Basically, whereas AIL traditional roleplays are written out, without the use of dice, a Live RP is a pen and paper style roleplay session done via IM, and 'translated' from raw chat history into the actual roleplay. It uses a dungeonmaster, usually Konall's handler, has it's own plot within the bigger story, and ideally will feature three through five players besides the dungeonmaster. (In fact, the most players we've ever had was the DM plus five players. It made for a massive Live RP in the next mission.)

It uses dice- we have a website to imitate the die for players who need it. It's subject to the rules of a normal AIL roleplay, but brings it's own elements of randomness as well. And as you'll see, the style is also somewhat different than a typical solo piece or co write.

It brought a unique way to roleplay for AIL, and since he was dungeonmstering, it was no surprise Konall returned to take part in traditional roleplays and co writes as well! Maybe not surprising but definitely welcomed!

Every debut player character from the last mission return (although Lapine only made it for a Live RP for the Finale). We also see a single new secondary PC debut, as Konall's sister Kadlin enters AIL in an impressive fashion! It's a fairly short roleplay period, and the Live RP concept debuts late, so we only get 7 traditional roleplays and 2 Live RP's (plus a third that makes up the second Mission Finale). But between that, we get a good mix of newer players and vets (Shamus and Raw each toss in a single roleplay for the mission). It's also the only Rollover so for to be posted on the same day as a previous mission Finale. We do see a lot of Elite 7 in action for this mission, which is very fitting seeing as the mission premise is the Elite 7 and Knob Goblin King leading the invasion into Seaside Town.

Feature characters: Konall Bearsmasher! The rampaging Viking is finally back in AIL and it's a welcome return!
The Guacanator - He competes in his second ever mission.. and takes on the Jester King of Beasts in an exciting fight that really shows off their abilities.
Catrina Whiteclaw really makes her mark in the first roleplay of the mission- a fight with her own estranged brother! It leads directly into the first ever Live RP and another strong Catrina mission showing.
Sebastian Dash. The original AIL character continues to look strong throughout the mission. Like Catrina, he manages to pull out his own solo in addition to making it for all three Live RP missions.
And featuring: Becky Joy, Todd Blackpaws, Raw Hide, Shamus XTreme, Lapine, The Elite 7, Seaside Town, Prince Blahking, Fluffy Hamster, King MTiger, and more!
