Konall was a key figure in the early missions, right up to the Chrono Quest. After nearly succumbing to the evils buried in an enhanced blade, he vanished from public sight for several months, eventually reappearing as KOKOL's troubles with the Knob Goblin Empire seemed to reach a boil. His sister Kadlin also returned into his life, revealing she'd embraced magic, which Konall and his people had considered quite taboo. Eventually, the Knob Goblins took over Seaside Town and attempted to burn it to the ground. This backfired when the Knob Goblin's king attempted to raise the dead on both sides under his control. It failed, leading to Catrina falling to her own dark side and seizing control of the Knob Goblins from the king, joined by Becky Joy, Kadlin Bearsmasher, and others. As the two sides worked together to rid the world of the demons and Knob Goblin King, Kadlin gained possession of the same sword her brother had buried long ago. Her own dark side would grow under its influence. The Story so far: Catrina's dark side seemed to falter as KOKOL and the Feline Empire existed peacefully for a while, working together to rescue several kidnapped princesses. However, the rescue attempts took them to Honorburg, a 'futuristic' city with 1920's retro futuristic technology, a place out of Sebastian Dash's past. Catrina nearly killed her former lover and ally Dash at one point as tensions between faction members continued, boiling over in an alternate universe some dubbed the 'mirrorverse.' After returning to our own world, Konall, one-time Feline Empire loyalist Sir Fumblies and others formed a third faction. The annual St. Boris Day's Feast has recently passed and Kadlin's dark side has only grown, as we're about to see. Although the mission was a little light in quantity compared to other missions, the quality's still up there. We get a chance to revisit with Sassy Snake. I am not sure if we'll see anymore of Sassy Snake before the final mission ends, but it's nice seeing her in action here. We also visit with Aleena and get some impressive performances by Zed, the Bearsmashers, and most of the space elves, including a special Aleena cameo. Despite the fitting name, most of the mission focuses around Kadlin, who came into possession of a certain sword a few missions ago. She's since reforged it into a glaive. Konall, of course, wielded the blade early in AIL, and understands its corruptive power. There's also the Finale which is a nice bit of action to bring the stories together. Feature characters: Kadlin Bearsmasher. You see her continuing development. She started as a hero but has been an anti hero since our first season ended. Well, you can forget that now; she's officially a villain thanks to this mission.
