Konall's Grudge (ran by Kadlin Bearsmasher and Sebastian Dash)

Historical recap Although still somewhat new to KOKOL, Konall Bearsmasher had already proven himself an exceptional soldier by the end of the KOKOL/ Pertene War. Konall was a key figure in the early missions, right up to the Chrono Quest. After nearly succumbing to the evils buried in an enhanced blade, he vanished from public sight for several months, eventually reappearing as KOKOL's troubles with the Knob Goblin Empire seemed to reach a boil. His sister Kadlin also returned into his life, revealing she'd embraced magic, which Konall and his people had considered quite taboo.

Eventually, the Knob Goblins took over Seaside Town and attempted to burn it to the ground. This backfired when the Knob Goblin's king attempted to raise the dead on both sides under his control. It failed, leading to Catrina falling to her own dark side and seizing control of the Knob Goblins from the king, joined by Becky Joy, Kadlin Bearsmasher, and others. As the two sides worked together to rid the world of the demons and Knob Goblin King, Kadlin gained possession of the same sword her brother had buried long ago. Her own dark side would grow under its influence.

The Story so far: Catrina's dark side seemed to falter as KOKOL and the Feline Empire existed peacefully for a while, working together to rescue several kidnapped princesses. However, the rescue attempts took them to Honorburg, a 'futuristic' city with 1920's retro futuristic technology, a place out of Sebastian Dash's past. Catrina nearly killed her former lover and ally Dash at one point as tensions between faction members continued, boiling over in an alternate universe some dubbed the 'mirrorverse.' After returning to our own world, Konall, one-time Feline Empire loyalist Sir Fumblies and others formed a third faction.

The annual St. Boris Day's Feast has recently passed and Kadlin's dark side has only grown, as we're about to see.

Although the mission was a little light in quantity compared to other missions, the quality's still up there. We get a chance to revisit with Sassy Snake. I am not sure if we'll see anymore of Sassy Snake before the final mission ends, but it's nice seeing her in action here. We also visit with Aleena and get some impressive performances by Zed, the Bearsmashers, and most of the space elves, including a special Aleena cameo.

Despite the fitting name, most of the mission focuses around Kadlin, who came into possession of a certain sword a few missions ago. She's since reforged it into a glaive. Konall, of course, wielded the blade early in AIL, and understands its corruptive power.

There's also the Finale which is a nice bit of action to bring the stories together.

Feature characters: Kadlin Bearsmasher. You see her continuing development. She started as a hero but has been an anti hero since our first season ended. Well, you can forget that now; she's officially a villain thanks to this mission.
Sassy Snake! Voter Ichiro said she "oozes a lot of style," which I'm pretty sure was intended as a compliment. She's here first with a solo and later with a follow up co write with Becky Joy which is, unsurprisingly, a lot of fun.
Zed Shinestone has always been a top five player and that continues with another strong showing here, where we see a little more of Zed's brains and magical knowledge than ever. He also runs into Sassy, Becky a couple times and of course his boss Konall. Solid showing by Zed should make his fans happy. If he has any, which he should.
Konall Bearsmasher has always been an important part of the overall AIL story and that's especially true in here where his sister is the focus of the mission. Watch him whip up a rebellion in Degrassi.
Becky Joy pulls her magic here with a solo and co writes with Zed, Sassy and Cattaras. If you like that Becky Joy brand of humor, you'll get plenty of Joy out of this mission.
Jen and Glyn. Once again, we're treated to the presense of our local space elves with Aleena making a cameo. Aside from a very small showing by Raven, though, and that cameo, it's all about Glyn and Jen this time around.
Cattaras Whiteclaw (who's in charge of Degrassi) continues becoming more heroic overall without sacraficing his original personality one iota.
Sebastian Dash is here representing KOKOL's interest. He mostly interacts with the space elves until the finale.
Space elf Raven is here but only for the meeting with KOKOL and the space elves.
Aleena shows up although not in person. It's more of a cameo as she and Sebastian talk.

Also reprsenting KOKOL: Prince Blahking, King MTiger
Also reprsenting the Feline Empire: Becky's Goblins, Daisuke, Mimi, Kadlin's thugs, the shadow puppet king, Slit and Soul Shield.
And featuring: Karrak, the Camel Nose & his late Uncle Shava and the people of Degrassi Knoll and South Degrassi,
