MISSION INFORMATION This is the out of character mission information and RP Notes for our 20th overall mission, Konall's Grudge. MISSION INFO
Pieces missing notes:
Communicate with others when you can, too. Let's try to make this one of the best missions ever! Barring a roleplay or co write (or OOC post from Mitch, Kris or Cameron) saying otherwise, I expect that each faction will have their own goals and ways of going about this. Use this as the basis for your stories. Modify as you feel is necessary. Feel free to start up whatever threads in the general discussion are that you need to.
Catrina is going to want the Feline Empire to protect its interests at all costs. One might presume this would mean protecting Kadlin's interests. Then again, are her actions in Degrassi really in the Feline Empire's best interests? The Feline Empire should be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish their goals. I suggest the Empire will not just allow for but expect a ruthless pursuit of their interests. They should be at odds with either faction gaining power in Degrassi. They'll each have to decide for themselves if they feel Kadlin is on their side in this dispute or if maybe she needs to be reigned in.
We're in the most diplomatic position for this one. We'll hear rumors- but probably nothing concrete- about the killings in Degrassi. I expect with Kadlin in charge, she'll be as merciless and ruthless as she was in the Rollover. Our first obligation is to investigate. KOKOL will want to try to get official permission to investigate. Possibly through Cattaras or another potentially sympathetic figure. The space elves and others might want to put their investigative skills to use to figure what happened. Let's be clear. We need to get to the bottom of this situation one way or another, but we'll do it the right way if we can. Once we're sure the situation is as bad as it seems, we'll want to move to get Kadlin out and if possible, bring her to justice. Just keep in mind, we'll also want to avoid starting a war here. We want to do this as by the books as possible. Of course, this will probably not prove possible.
That isn't the official name for you guys. Anyway, look at KOKOL's objective, and remove most of the politics. It's not like you're ready for a war with the Feline Empire. But you're not going to back down either. You never do, do you? Konall, especially, has an interest in removing the Feline Empire threat from Degrassi Knoll. I'm sure Fumblies will too. They also have their issues with Catrina and Kadlin. Your goal is basically to turn Degrassi on its so called leaders, Cattaras and Kadlin. You'll still want to get the facts first, but you're more action first, talk later, right? Most likely, you'll have a personal reason for wanting to get involved in this mission. Of course, we don't know exactly where those reasons will lead you.
Let's try to get conflict between the factions. KOKOL and Third Faction aren't exactly on the same page here. I am not really sure the new faction cares to have KOKOL suddenly in charge of Degrassi, either. KOKOL might not want them mucking up the investigation, so to speak. They want to keep things cool between the Empire and Kingdom. The new faction (and maybe the Feline Empire) might start to suspect a Penguin influence on KOKOL by now (or soon) as well. (We need to work on illustrating how that works.)
I brought back the Hey Daze bosses to make last mission a bit more interesting. As you plan and write out the roleplays and co writes, ask yourself who else from the Kingdom and abroad might be interested in the Degrassi situation. What other wrongs might this situation give us an opportunity to right? Feel free to at your discretion bring in either new threats or revisit old threats from AiL's past or even KOL itself. Again, if you want to discuss this further or ask questions, PM or IM me, e-mail me or better than any of those options, start a topic in the General discussion. A solo Zed piece where he goes about questing for an irregular strain of plant life. Zed notices something abnormal in the local plant life, and discovers Kadlin's fields of Dryad's Toadstools. He manages a preliminary look into what the toadstools are known for but is driven off by the appearance of some Goblin guards (one elite, one brute, and a chef mage). Zed will report this info. to the Third Faction leaders, and possibly the KOKOL folks, in order to ensure that the toadstools aren't used for something disastrous, like unleashing the seals on a malevolent sword/glaive perhaps? Decided to add a random piece that has Zed dancing in the rain (note: he was not calling the rain via dancing). Starts up with Zed doing his thing, and I segue for Wilde by having Zed sneeze in response to Becky Joy. Becky does her random thing, explaining that she's here as a deputy and wants no trouble from Zed. To be fair, Zed isn't a trouble-maker but what his side does tends to detract from the Feline Empire for this mission. Hopefully the piece isn't too long, and interests you. Konall Starts a Fire Konall finds out about what Kadlin's up to in the knoll and decides to put a stop to it. He starts a revolution and blows up an armory after looting it. Meanwhile, Kadlin hears about the revolt and is going to try to kill anyone in the knoll who starts rebelling against her authority. She also recruited the Black Paladin to her side, for now. Meanwhile, it should be noted that Cattaras is supposed to be in control of this area. His reaction to Kadlin's walking in and taking over areas for her own use, plus putting her armies into the area, is yet to be determined. Dash arrives in Degrassi and is quickly greeted by Jen. She helps Dash establish a mental contact with Aleena. (A little bit of sexy times here.) Afterwards, Catt sneaks up on Dash and Jen. They convince him they're on the same side in terms of the Kadlin situation. The three head towards town at the end. I'm not sure if the next step will be co writes, solos, or the Finale. Under instruction of Prince BlahKing and Jen, Glyn takes a trip to visit Konall in a certain Southern Degrassi watering hole. Not the typical action piece, as most of the violence is waved over by the gents as they converse. Glyn tries to get some ideas from Konall as to Kadlin's state of mind, and future goals. Konall appears to be in a dark mood, possibly due to the reminder of Aleena, or perhaps due to the grave measures to be enacted to sort out Kadlin. The piece ends on a sobering note, peculiarly enough for a bar. We wound up with ten player characters qualifying for points this mission, spread over ten roleplays total. So I kept the Finale to a single part. Congratulations to the winner, Konall! You take 20 points. It's fitting that he'd win the mission with his name in it. The voter comments sum it up nicely. "Konall comes in swinging hard this time out. Really good in character and plot related struggles." Sassy Snake, you take second place with 19 points. Like Konall, Sassy covered a solo roleplay and a co write. Her co write was with Becky Joy the ice mage and Zed. The voter commented, "This odd character oozes a lot of style. Still needs to find her exact niche though." Next up, the star of Rollover Kadlin Bearsmasher takes third place and 18 points although she only showed up in a mostly Konall solo and the Rollover. Voter commented "The only villain this time out, Kadlin comes off far more menacing than she has before." Becky Joy and Zed Shinestone tied for forth with 16 points. Voter commented, "Becky/Zed. Both killed everyone else in terms of sheer rp numbers, just had very stiff competition in the content section. Still, their impressive showing earns them high marks here." Becky and Zed met in a co write, and were in a second co write with Sassy. Zed and Becky both had a solo. Space elf Jen ties with Dash for sixth, 15 points each. Voter comment: Dash slips a little this week, felt like the character was coasting a little. Jen is finally starting to come into her own. Cattaras comes in with 13 points at the eighth position. Voter comment: Mostly used as a comedy piece this time, I am still having a hard time nailing down character for him. Growing more into his place. The space elves round us out. Glyn takes 11 points while Raven takes 8. Voter comment: Glyn. Giving Glyn more points here, due to a bigger showing in the last RP. He is gaining some personality. I expect good things with him and Cattaras as they grow more into their current characters. Voter comment: Raven. Lackluster showing in an exposition piece. Putting out more work and maybe spending time away from the other elves might help him. So with seven missions plus the interim mission under our belt, what are the season totals like? Let's take a look! Rather than my usual comments, this time I'm going to think of one thing I'd like to see from each player character in future missions.
Sebastian Dash: 125 points. I'd like to see someone steal the top position from Dash!
Cattaras Whiteclaw: 82 points. I'd like to see Cattaras really show us his stuff for a mission and maybe get a top three ranking.
Zed Shinestone: 48 points. Could we hear more on the status of his family's curse? Also: more hijinx.
Summer: 19 points. Let's see more of her temper.
Tarvel: 12 points. A bio and more solo work.
Awakensun (Gail): 5 points. I wouldn't mind learning about Gail's history in Adrule.
That's it! Expect our new mission up very soon. It’ll be a fun one. Guild Warriors II: Machines and Soul.
MISSION points!

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOKOL doesn't own KOL.
