Mission: 10 Scenarios Posted by Konall Bearsmasher Original rollover
Establishing multiple threats like never before, we start off what was intended for the Final AIL Mission ever with a huge bang!
It's an excellent start with Konall and MTiger possibly being the highlights. Well.. maybe Kadlin, who we kick it off with. Anyway, here's where it is. Here is how this mission gets started.

She didn't need to look up to known large swaths of the sky were on fire. She somehow knew it had been a result of the battles between the dragons and the armies of airships. It had been debated how dangerous the skyfires would be to the environment. Now, it was a moot point. Past the fallen Goblin hometown, the world was reduced to clouds of ashes. Nothing moved, except the wind. The grounds were filled with the charred corpses of not just the natives but new arrivals from around the world and beyond. They'd come here through space and time, across dimensions, and from Hay Daze (Hey Deze) and the heavens themselves to take part in this. Only to fall here. Some of the visions were more specific. Konall and Sebastian were the last to fall to a desperate final attempt to stop Kadlin from destroying the world. Had they succeeded, they might have been the only two living beings on the planet not frozen in time. They each died horrific deaths. Earlier, their allies had been slaughtered. Catrina fell to a horde of demons and slavers. Becky Joy was tortured, abused, and finished off by Kadlin's eight elite warriors. Lalucia and Feena seeked to protect the wounded space elves for a while. But like the rest, they were devoured by the ravenous jaws of deaths. World after world was consumed. They were felled by a mysterious, feminine figure whose identity was protected even in this vision. A leather clad vixen who radiated pure, for lack of a better term, naughtiness.. Then Kadlin found herself back in the scorched fields outside Degrassi, inside of the frozen bubble of time. She found herself facing a hybrid female, half lion and half feline. Totally and impossibly beautiful. Kadlin could sense Catrina's goddess wasn't a part of the vision. She was the reason for it. "This is what you seek," the goddess said. "Get out of my head; I want to wake up," Kadlin ordered. "In time," the goddess replied. "This is the world's last hope to restore your sanity. I want to give it my full effort." "It doesn't matter," said Kadlin. "Once I complete these rituals, I'll be more powerful than any god or goddess ever was. I can rebuild the world after I'm done with it. Life and death will be in my hands. I can recreate it a thousand times better than the mess you all formed if I so desire." "You've never created anything," the goddess said, "Just mutated, killed, perverted, and destroyed. You bring ruin to everything you touch, and you've completely lost the power to do otherwise. You were a healer once, a restorer of what was. You lost that power. You cannot even create so much as an ant." Kadlin spat on the ground and concentrated on conjuring an ant, using her power over death to create life where there had been none. She gathered all her power. Nothing. "You mess with my abilities in this vision," said Kadlin. "In the real world, I'd have a swarm of ants by now." The goddess shook her head. "You set your path to destroy all worlds, and you don't even know why you're doing it. Think upon my words." She turned to leave. "If I'm going to destroy something, I might as well start with you. Take all the gods down while I'm at it. I don't need you anymore." It was the last thing she said when she woke up. Kadlin went about her morning routine, bathing, dressing, drinking goblin blood to replenish her life essence, then getting to work on her tower. Halfway through shouting at builders and enchanting traps, she stopped to try to create an ant, just to prove the goddess wrong. An hour's meditation and three goblin sacrifices later, she still hadn't managed it. Well, after she had achieved her goals, she'd have time enough to work out something so simple. As for now, she had work to do. The goblin handed over the meat and took his crate of weapons. They were labelled as something so unnerving that a goblin wouldn't dare search it for contraband. The label read "books." Some people wondered if the penguins were supporting the rebels in overthrowing Kadlin because they supported the revolution or because they wanted meat. The answer was yes. Kadlin was going to destroy the world, and destroying the world was bad for business.
----------------------------------------- Assisted by Dash The guards around the former KOKOL fort stiffened up at sight of two strangers in the distance, but quickly identified them and relaxed at the sight of their former bosses, King MTiger and Prince Blahking. Blahking was clearly not enjoying the chill in the air. "Halt," said one of the guards, shakily. Another ran to the war tent, alerting Konall to the situation. "Let them in," shouted Konall through the tent. "But sir, they could be doppelgangers, shapeshifters, or some sort of magical illusion. We haven't checked-" "Let them in," Konall cut the man off. "I haven't killed anything since Tuesday. I'm up for a fight if it comes to that." Mtiger followed the escort to the war tent and walked in, Blahking at his side. Konall was looking over a map of Degrassi with Zed pointing out where the elite 8 were situated and how Kadlin's forces had been dispersed. The other members of the Council for Drastic and Unnecessarily Violent Solutions were giving their input, most of it bad. "My heart warms to at the sight of the success of your faction, old friend," MTiger said, shining with pride. "Although you should get on your guards," suggested Blahking. "They failed to do a standard illusion check. For all they knew, we could have been three-foot-tall Goblins." "I was bored," said Konall. "Besides, goblins with three feet would be too clumsy to be a threat." "I meant.. nevermind." Blahking switched tactics. "I assume you know why we're here?" "Not really, no. The world's falling to pieces in a thousand different ways. I see it in dreams when I'm asleep and visions when I'm awake. The only time I don't see it is when I'm drunk. I do a lot of drinking these days." "It is, indeed, dark days which visit us," MTiger said in a solemn voice. "We could use your help," Blahking said. "We're going to be short on men since we're sending a group to the Mysterious Islands. We're also gathering around Seaside Town. You've heard about the Penguin Mafia's move to take it over?" "Heard about it. Don't like it. I never thought I'd say this, but there's too many battles going on right now. Kadlin's elites are moving on Degrassi. All hel's breaking loose from the spillover of Kadlin's spells." Blahking looked to MTiger, who nodded knowingly. Blahking tilted his head slightly as he spoke, deep in thought. "We've prepared something in case the Elite 8 came into play. And we think the situation with the Chrono Dragon might be playing into this. It seems if the creature weakens - or worse, dies - before the offspring is prepared to take over, time itself might be in jeopardy. We're moving to help." "Whatever your sister does to bring forth with her fell arts, the world itself responds," said MTiger. "It's true," Blahking said. "Our naval forces have spotted several very powerful ships making their way to the Kingdom. They seem to range from Ireaca to the futuristic lands of Honorburg." Konall sighed. "Then there's the ultimate airship. They upgraded it from penultimate. It strafed my fort a while ago, but our siege crossbow scared it off. You can still see the wreckage, though, from the strafing. It's battling another ship of some sort. I'd like to swat both of them out of the sky but I'm being spread thin as it is. I was hoping to ask you guys to lend me some forces." "We'll do everything we can to aid you," Blahking promised. "But we need to expand our allies. If your sister gets any closer to... well, the might of the world combined might not be enough to stop her." Konall nodded. "I agree. We need to recruit more soldiers and find more allies. If we've got invaders coming from other worlds, maybe we can find friends." "We strike as a single serpent," Mtiger proclaimed, feeling more confident. "Organized, swift, and if required, with lethal force. One by one, let the threats to our world fall prey, with the greatest challenge- your sister- as our ultimate goal."
So there's the ten scenarios for which the mission was named, laid out. We get this one rolling with Sebastian, the space elves, Catrina and more in the early pieces and get plenty of AIL's best in this extremely important mission.

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOKOL doesn't own KOL. Get it? Good! ! |
