Mission: CatBird: Search or Rescue subtitle: John and Sherri goes to Ninja Village Posted by Blackeagle Original roleplay
Blackeagle actually helped write their debut during the Finale of the previous mission, mafia town. This, however, is their proper roleplay debut.
It isn't terribly long, just a short little debut, but it gets the job done as you'll see.

"These horses work out well," said Sherri. "It was nice of Fumbles to give them to use," John said. They noticed an odd tower looming in the distance, shaped like the head of a clown. "See that?" John asked. "Yeah. Looks like our house after you pissed off the drug cartels," Sherri commented. John laughed. Fumbles had told them what to look for. He had mentioned that Ninja Village was well hidden and for good reason. For the next month, it would be John and Sherri's home and training grounds, if the ninjas accepted their presence. It would not be easy for the couple in a strange land they weren't used to. While riding, John noticed a couple of fallen tree branches. "Look," John said, pointing them out to Sherri. "Oh, nice. Those would make nice bow staffs," she replied. "Doable, since Fumbles was kind enough to give us a small knife," John said. "If you call that a knife." Sherri said. Indeed, the knives were small and cheap, at least by the standards of the dimension Sherri and John came from. A little "thank you" from Fumblies for helping around the base. They stopped the horses and dismounted. Cautiously, they walked over to the tree limbs. John looked forward as Sherri watched behind. Always keeping an eye out for danger. Slowly, John picked up one of the branches and tosses it to Sherri. "Nice catch, babe," John said. "Thanks; think I could become a running back for Dallas Cowboys?" Sherri asked. "Naw, keep your day job," John said. John picked up the second limb. They took the limbs and remounted the horses. "We'd better get going. Looks like it will be dark soon," John said. With that they rode off. They didn't want to be caught in the dark in a strange land. Especially after their first fight here. Fumbles had mentioned to them that the horses knew where they were going. They were a bit skeptical of that but none the less went with it. After all, its all they had in this strange new world of loathing.
The pair are actually from a modern era dimension, so the reference to the Dallas Cowboys is a nice call-out to that. Voter Ichiro enjoyed the chemistry between the two, calling it "jokey and friendly in a natural way."
There isn't much to say; it's a rather short debut as I said. It's a little dry but you can see their stories improve just over their first few missions.
They'll arrive in Ninja Village six pieces from now. But we've got some other groups to fill in the time in the five stories between - Sassy Snake and her friends, as well as Wildfall and Mary Kate along with their cast.

In other words, I don't own KOL, or KOKOL, and KOKOL doesn't own KOL.
