Normally Sassy's roleplays are solos but this one breaks that trend in a big way.

Flashback - Before the Big Elite 7 vs 8 battle

The darkness of night is closing down over the hills and plains as I head for the hillside where I had left the girl I had rescued. It's where Wildfall and his bard-friend had left us both.

I know that Serpentina is just out of my line of vision in the bushes nearby and I know that she isn't alone - she has other friends watching us and scouting for us. My thoughts are not good company for me; I try to squelch the ones that kept nagging at me. I also know that there are ruffians and thugs of every description out there in the night. That knowledge isn't very comforting either.

How had I gotten to this point, anyway? I am a simple healer; never wanted to be a fighter.

However, I had fought and drawn blood. I shake my head fiercely to stop myself from thinking about that. For now, what is important is helping that girl, whoever she was, to get to some kind of safety. I sling my crossbow to my back; too dark for it and besides if it comes to fighting, it will be in-close fighting.

I am just thinking of that when a hulking shape looms up out of the darkness in front of me and says, "Who dere? Who dat? Where you going?"

"I am just a tired stranger in this land, don't mean no one any harm. Will you please let me pass?"

He doesn't budge. "What is name?"

"My name is Sassy Snake." From out of the darkness there is a giant chuckle - the kind you would expect to hear from a troll before he ripped your head off. He makes a waving motion like he wants to follow me.

"Come with Tus."

He leads me to what is obviously a recently set up camp. In the distance, I see that fox-guy Todd. There is no word to describe my joy at seeing him and knowing that I won't be in another fight. I have found their camp.

Todd lay on his back in the grass, casually strumming a few chords on his axe. That Ireacan, Wildfall, sits besides him with Wildfall tapping his Ireacan weapon on the grass. I notice they look a little depressed and maybe irritated. I also notice the big cat from earlier, Cattaras. He is huge, powerful and dangerous looking. But he also looks kind of gentle. In his own way.

"Hey, guys," I tell them. "I'm here. I got that girl to safety. Mostly."

The fox's ears perk at the sound of the word 'girl' and fall back at the idea that she isn't here. "Could use a girl right about now…"

Cattaras chuckles from where he had been tending the fire. "NOW, you think about sex?"

"I just hope there is a world left after all this," Wildfall chimes in. "Hey Sassy.. You here for the big battle?"

I pause. "Well, I'm not sure. Which big battle? Are you talking about going after the other camps with prisoners in them? Maybe that would help Todd with his problem of missing girls. Or do you mean something different?"

Todd puts his axe aside and rises to a sitting position, smirking at his friend at the fire. "Best time for it- since there might not be any coming tomorrow!"

Catt doesn't looking like he will have it, though. Maybe he is worrying about someone? Maybe that had its own problems for the feline. "Just keep in mind why you're here before you go off dreaming about your bitches."

Wildfall looks at me and shrugs. "Sorry, the big cat doesn't like guard duty, I guess. And that's what we're doing. Keeping good ole' Degrassi safe with all the crap going down. Although.. It's kinda boring so far."

"It's not just that…" Todd speaks before Catt could warn him off. "The big doof has responsibilities now. His sister, this land. Even the girl in his head…"

"Jen." Catt growls.

"Yeah, that's her." Todd continues without losing a beat. "He's got a lot of things on what little mind he has." That last bit ends with a grin as he teases the big guy. Catt looks about to take the bait, then laughs and relaxes.

Something they said earlier gets me to thinking. "So you are just here defending Degrassi? Is Becky Joy here? You are her friend, right Cattaras? She talked about you a lot."

Wildfall just shrugs. "I guess so. Guard duty, like I said. Heh."

Catt looks off worriedly toward one of the tents at the mention of Becky's name. Seems Todd's list of his responsibilities might be a bit short. "Yeah, she's here. Resting."

"Well if you need a healer, I can certainly help." I don't mention my unease at the thought of more blood. "I'm not much of a fighter, but if you need help, I'll try to do whatever you need me to do. But after this, I'm going to need some help breaking up all the camps here who are holding prisoners. Is that going to be okay?"

Catt growls and nods. "Yeah, sure. I'll help out. Need to break something anyway."

I look around the camp. "Then, sirs, I should probably get a spot set up in town so we can take care of the wounded. I want to make sure things are set up properly and sterile in case we run into more trouble than we're already in for."

Wildfall pops to his feet. "Yeah.. we can help ya out, right Todd? Looks like the big cat has company."

Todd nods as he rises and picked up his axe. "Yeah yeah. Another job with no hot babes at the end." Although the smirk on his face says he's just messing with us.

He turns and sees someone, and his smirk grows larger. "Speakin' of hot babes, here's Catt's." I think I hear him mutter and curse "Lucky son of a bitch…" but I don't mention it.

I look over and notice a very beautiful ... oh, that is one of the space elves. I'm not sure which one she is though.

I quickly introduce myself. "Oh? Is this a friend of yours? I'm Sassy Snake, a healer from the other dimension. You must be the space elf they mentioned."

She smiles and says, "Jen." She changes her focus to tiger and her smile became a mile long. "Cattaras! I want some of your time, when you've a moment."

"Well, we're heading out now, so you'll have that moment," Wildfall says. He and Todd walk off. I turn to say goodbye to the two as they embrace. I hear the big rough and tough tiger purr to her. "The world can go to hell if it doesn't give me enough time to please you, my love."

"I hope we get to talk more after this craziness is all over. It was nice meeting you but I need to hurry! Goodbye for now."

I can hear the two talking briefly as I walk off but soon we are out of hearing distance and heading to Degrassi. I catch up with Todd and Wildfall just in time to hear him say, "Some cats get all the breaks, Toddo."

"Dunno, mate." Todd chuckles. "I hear she's in his head 24/7. I don't think I could survive long, given my usual train of thought."

"Urgh." Wilde laughs. "Don't talk about odds of survival right now. Makes me nervous."

Todd's face breaks into a more hopeful smile. "Maybe we'd go with her trying to fulfill our thoughts!"

Wildfall looks a little surprised at the thought. Then he glances back towards me and then to Todd. "You cheeky bard you."

"Bard, Fox. So close in nature." Todd chuckles. He turns back to me. "So what do ya say, babe?"

Judging by Sassy's response, she is less than thrilled by the idea.

Everyone gets a bit in even though it's a Sassy focused piece. Oh, I understand Cattaras and Jen had a really hot scene after this.. too hot to even post. Pity!
