We start this mission off with Sassy Snake, who also started the last mission off. She was also the first character to have a bio up for season 3! (Oh and update, she is the first on the board for the next mission as well.)

It's a fun little piece with a cute Becky Joy cameo, but enjoy this once, since it's Sassy's only roleplay for the sample mission.

 
I am standing around talking with some friends; it's about a week after the battle had occurred. All of a sudden, Becky Joy comes skipping up to us.

"Hi there, Sassy!! You going? Are ya going, Sassy? You can come with me if you want to. I'm gonna meet SGirl and my Goblins there!"

"Going where, Becky?"

"To the meeting, of course! It's gonna be so good! We haven't had one in a long, long time. Lots of yummy goodies!"

"What meeting? Where is it?"

"The council meeting in South Degrassie. Come on, ya can follow me and see it yourself. Come on, come on. Hurry now!"

"Okay, okay. We'll go with you." I call Icy, Linger and Bristle and we follow the bouncing Becky Joy to the meeting in South Degrassie.

I watch the meeting while nibbling on snacks and drinking a few drinks. It is probably one of the shortest meetings I have witnessed. Afterwards, I turn to Bristle.

"Um, Bris, did you understand what they were talking about?"

"No, Sassy," he says, "Sorry but I haven't the foggiest notion of what just happened or what was said."

"How about you Icy?"

She shakes her head no.

I turn to Linger. "Did you?"

"Not understand, but did like when that one got hammered." He laughs.

"I am glad to hear that. Thought it was just me."

Becky motions to me and I go to see her.

"Are you signing up with them, Sassy?"

"Don't know yet. You?"

"Not yet, anyway, I gotta have me a think on it! Wanna hop down over to the resistance fighters meeting with me?"

"What resistance fighters? I thought that they said there was none."

"Well too bad, there just is one and that's that! So I gotta go hear what they gotta say about it!"

"Probably be hard to find them, I suppose?"

"Ya'd think so but guess what? Nope! Just go to the tent that says 'Resistance Fighters' or find the nearest Viking and he will show you. Or.. she will. Vikings could be girl Vikings, too.. hmm..."

She bounces out of the meeting room to find the tent. I turn to the others. "So, what do we do now?"

Icy says, "Let's just look around. What d'you say?" I agree it is a good idea and we start to leave. At the door, a man hands me a pamphlet. "Join up today," he says.

"Join what?" I ask. He points to the pamphlet and says "Read about it in there." Then he hands out more pamphlets.

I am walking on the street when I find my path blocked by a burly Viking. "Here ya go!" he says and gives me a leaflet. As he walks away, a woman steps up to me and gives me another leaflet that looks like the first one. I look at the rest of my companions and I can see that they are carrying leaflets and flyers as well.

Linger says, "Dis one makes a good flyer. See!" and he fashions a glider out of it and flies it in the wind. No sooner does it leave his hand, then someone behind him gives him the exact same flyer again.

"Kind of like boomerangs, I guess." says Bristle. Icy says she wants to look at the nearby shops and heads off in that direction.

Another Viking warrior slips me two more flyers. I start to flip through one when someone behind me says, "You don' want to waste your time wit that trash. Here, honey, takes one of these." He hands me three leaflets and sprints away.

I now have so many leaflets, pamphlets and flyers that I can barely navigate through the streets. I look to my right and see black hair. I freeze as I see who it is: Ravyn!

"Look over there, Bris." I gestured toward her and he frowns.

"Just great, figures with all of these people she might be here. Sassy don't cause any trouble."

"Wasn't planning to do that, but you might just want to find Icy, just in case. Linger and I will keep an eye on her in the meantime."

I can tell by his face that he doesn't like this plan, but Bristle heads off to find Icy. Suddenly, Ravyn spots us and comes toward us.

"Hello Sissy, are you signing on with these bleeding hearts from the Council? I am on the books for the resistance fighters. These Vikings are my kind of guys!"

"Oh, why is that, Ravyn?"

"Because they understand the simple little things that make a girl feel good; things like blood, carnage, destruction and death!"

I shake my head and start to walk away. "Come on, Linger, let's go."

Ravyn puts a hand on Linger's hand. "Wait a minute, Linger. A big guy like you could come in real handy when a battle is raging. Join us and you could be great!"

Linger thinks for a bit and then shakes his head and starts to follow me. Sorry," he says, "Not int'rested." Ravyn sneers as we leave her and I can't help feeling a bit more concerned. I look back briefly just to get my bearings and I see Ravyn has the biggest longbow I have ever seen with a quiver of arrows on her back.

After six more people give us flyers, I find Icy and Bristle sitting at a sidewalk café, drinking tea and holding hands and talking low. Not wanting to disturb them, Linger and I look around discretely until they catch up with us.

I start to wonder just who will take which side and what it is all about. One thing is for sure, none of the fifty or so flyers that I have can explain what all of the fuss is all about. None of the people distributing them seems to know either. South Degrassi is one confused place. Then again, from what I could figure out, so is Seaside Town. I wonder what Becky Joy will do and which side she will fight on.

A fun lil cameo for Becky who doesn't appear in this mission otherwise. The voter really liked the bit with the flyers and said it fit into the "style of the piece." I agree; it was a clever lil bit.

We'll see Sassy when we get to the two part Finale! Next up are some AIL mainstays.. four of 'em in a single co-write! Plus one of them is sticking around for the next three pieces after with a debuting character.
